Emma's POV
For the past five months, the tall dark haired, blue eyed man kept calling in every morning to get something. I never wanted to ask his name as it would be a bit awkward. Mary Margaret keeps telling me I need to ask him and says we are cute, which automatically makes me blush. I knew it would be there right thing to do to ask his name as I cant keep calling him 'The regular customer with dark brown hair and blue eyes.'
It was December, close to Christmas and usually around this time lots of people are looking for winter wedding cakes and our gift baskets usually sell out too. "This is my favorite time of the year. I love making all these gift baskets for winter." Mary Margaret says smiling. "Its too cold in my opinion." I say shivering. Snow was falling and landing in the streets and making it hard to drive. Not that it wasn't already hard to drive through the streets of New York.
The door bell jingles and I walk to the front and saw him standing there. "Ah I was hoping you would come in today." I said laughing. The regular customer with brown hair and blue eyes came in. I turned around to Mary Margaret and she smiles. "So, the usual I'm guessing?" I said giggling. "You know me too well I guess." He smiles. I automatically blush when he smiles at me.
"I don't know you that well. I don't even know your name." I said slowly. "Ah yes that. My names Killian, Killian Jones. And I sort of know yours." He says giggling. "Emma, Emma Swan. and how do you know sort of?" I said curiously. "I work in J.P studios and I work with Robin locksley. He says you and his wife are very close." He smiles at me again. "You work with Robin?! Yes me and his wife Regina have known each other since teenagers." I said surprised. "Well now I know your name Killian Jones you have put my mind at ease." I continued. "As have you. And I would like to ask you out for dinner tonight if that doesn't seem to awkward." He explains.
I shot my head up and looked at him. I froze and try to say something but nothing comes out. "Umm, no its not. Yeah I'd love to come out tonight." I say studdering over my words. "Thanks. Here's my card it has my number on it. I'll text you details?" He says handing over his business card and lifting mine off the counter. "Yeah that would be helpful. Thank you Killian." I say. I hand him his food and coffee and he winks before leaving the bakery again.
"Emma's got a dateee. Emma's got a dateee." Mary Margaret sings as I walk into the oven room. "Okay. I know. I'm just a little overwhelmed I guess. I learnt his name and got a night out. Two in one." I said laughing. "I need to go. Henry gets out of school now." I said taking off my apron and putting on my leather jacket. "You go. I can close up today." Mary Margaret says smiling at me. "See you on Monday, Mary Margaret." I said waving to her. I jumped into my bug and drive to the school.
I stop outside the school and the bell rings. Henry sees my car and runs up towards me. He jumps in and kisses my cheek. "Hey mom. How was work today?" Henry says taking his school bag of his back and placing it down at his feet. "It was good. Its getting cold tho." I said shivering. It began to snow again and my phone rings in my pocket. Mary Margaret had texted me offering to mind Henry tonight so he could come see Neal and hang out while I go out on my 'date'. I drove home and pulled up in front of our house. Me and Henry get out of the car and I unlock the front door.
We both pile into the house and hang up our jackets that were wet with snow. Henry takes off his shoes and runs to the living room and turns in the TV. I sat down beside him and took my own shoes off. "Hey kid. You don't mind going to Mary Margaret and David's tonight?" I asked him. "Sure, why what's up." He says looking at the TV. "Umm, well I have actually got a date. Well its sort of a date." I say biting my lip. "That's great news mom!" Henry says looking at me smiling. "It is?" I ask him. "Yeah, my dad passed away eight years ago and you haven't dated a guy since. Your finally opening up again." Henry explains. "I guess so kid." I sighed. I stood up and walked up stairs and into my room. I look over to my bedside table and saw a photo of me and Neal and four year old Henry and smile.
I walked back downstairs and Henry was still sitting in the sofa. "Hey Henry. Can you pack and over night bag while I get ready?" I say touching his shoulder. "Sure mom." He says turning off the TV and running upstairs. I walked back up to my room and opened my closet.
