Unexpected love

Chapter Nineteen:Preparing to move in

Emma's POV
Two months later

Finally we got the all clear for Henry to go home. His lungs we all patched up and he felt comfortable with them. We were being discharged within the next few days. However me and Killian wanted to go house searching before Henry got out of hospital so he could move into the new house straight away. It took all it had in me but I decided to leave the hospital with Killian and let Liam stay with Henry. It was a Monday plus it was spring break for Liam so he didnt have school.

We said our goodbyes then jumped into Killian's white Jeep and drive off to find the biggest house we could share together.

The first house we viewed looked gorgeous in the outisde. 5 bedrooms, 3 floors. A huge back and front garden also. But once we walked inside there was damp and webs everywhere, which was a risk to Henry's health. So we immediately walked out and got back into the car.

The second house was worse. It was false advertising on the houses leaflet and it smelt and looked run down. This seemed to happen for the next dozen if houses.

Just when we had lost all hope we drove to the last house on our list with not very high hopes of it being successful. However we were wrong. A piece of land hidden by trees and flower patches held a most sunning home.

We didnt take much attention when searching up this house, hence the fact it was the last one on the list. Although it may have looked huge. We didnt know exactly how many floors or rooms there was. We didnt even know if it was stable for Henry.

We parked outside and looked at the sale sign. It was the perfect price in our budget, had the perfect amount of rooms AND was newly renovated, so it would be perfect for Henrys new health issues. We phoned the seller and he arrived promptly with keys to show us around.

Once we stepped inside our breaths were taken away. The living room was furnished exquisitely which made us fall in love. The kitchen was stunning also. The island was huge and all the countertops were brand new. The stairs even had us under a trance. It was a huge double staircase that led to the second floor. The rest of the staircases were single ones leading to the remaining 3 floors. That's right 4 floors in a house! How crazy?

The master bedroom was absolutely gorgeous. It was furnished with a enormous king size bed, a vanity and two wardrobes. We both looked at eachother and knew that this was the house.

When we had finished touring the house, we went out the back garden and spoke to the home owner.We talked for a short while when he finally asked us the question.

"So would you like to this house?"

I look at Killian and he looks at me. We both nodded.

"Yes."

He smiled and hands us the keys. He tells us to pay the money next month when he comes to visit. He then leaves and I hug Killian tightly excitedly. We finally found our perfect home and it was time to move our stuff in.

Killian's POV

We left it until the next day to move all our things into the house.

We said goodbye to the boys and walked out to the parking lot. Me and Emma decided to go to her house first and deal with moving hers and Henry's things in first.

But before all of that we wanted to pick out paints and wallpapers to decorate the rooms. There was quite a lot of rooms to paint also. The living room and kitchen we already loved so we didnt want to change it. We choose to paint Henry's room first so that it dries first and fumes won't affect his lungs. Henry just wanted an average boys room. With the blues and the greens and all the same furniture from his current room. Liam was the same. He wanted a red and white room with all the same furniture but he wanted a new bed. Me and Emma approved of all this and went to buy the paints.

We had David helping us out. Mary Margaret was on maternity leave as she was heavily heavily pregnant. Which left the bakery closed for 4 months at least until she could return. They did have other staff but they weren't comfortable with leaving them to run to bakery themselves.

We picked David up and went to the nearest DIY store. We picked up red,blue,white,brown and yellow paint. We also picked up wallpaper for me and Emma's room and the guest bedroom. I then went off to find paint for the study. When I returned Emma and David were laughing at eachother. Both of them messing around like a pair of big kids. We found a new bed for Liam and ordered it in to come to the new house within the day. We picked up lightbulbs and lights too. Everything a new house would need.

We payed for everything then left to go to the home store. We got our teapot, toaster, pots and pans, cutlery, plates and mugs, a new microwave and a coffee machine for me and Emma. We also ordered in our refrigerator and cooker. We felt very productive when we walked out of the store with bags of all our new home appliances. We took them to the new house and unpacked them all. Screwing in the lightbulbs, setting the plates and cups into the cabinets.  Hanging the mugs on the mug rack and placing the cutlery into the drawers. Setting up our home in general. The doorbell rang and it was the delivery of the refrigerator and cooker. We placed them in the kitchen then head out of the house once again for more shopping.

We decided to go food shopping and David stayed at ours to start painting Henry's room. We got lots of food and drink in ready for us all to move in. We left all of the stuff back in the house. Then we headed to Emma's house to collect her things in David's van. This time David came with us. He had finished painting Henry's room and was taking a break before painting Liam's.

It was only 4pm and we had gotten so much done. We had contacted a home seller who was coming to Emma's house in a few hours, leaving us enough time to pack all of Emma and Henry's clothes,furniture and personal items. We piled them into the van and drove to the new house just giving us enough us enough tine to leave the stuff in the allocated rooms and back to Emma's to meet the Home seller.

The home seller was pleased with the state Emma's house was in and was very comfortable to sell it for an amazing price. Which would help us with buying our new house. We gave him the keys and Emma took one last walk around the house. She brought me into what was going to be her baby girls room. She smiled at the pink walls and crib that we agreed to leave in the house for the new buyers incase they had a baby. She also left behind her couch, tv, bed and all of her kitchen appliances because we had most of this stuff already in our new house. We left Emma's old house for the last time and went to me and Liam's house next.

Emma's POV

I knew packing up and selling Killian's house was going to be harder for him than it was for me. He grew up in his house, his parents lived and breathed in this house too. Me however, I only shared it with Neal for a few years.

We began taking all of Liam's bedroom furniture out and packing it into the van. Then Killian's personal belongings and clothes. He plucked up the courage and decided to leave everything here for the new house buyer. I was proud of him that he did finally decide to leave it all behind. It did take everything he had to choose this. But it could affect him in months to come when he is missing his mom and dad.

He put a for sale sign at the very front of the house. I walked up beside him and held his hand. David drive his van off with the last run of the day. Me and Killian were driving his black nissian, taking Scarlet and Ella with us and their dog beds, bowls and food. Killian said his last goodbye to his childhood home and we drive to our new home.

At 9pm we decided to go back to the hospital. I felt guilty leaving Henry and Liam by themselves in a hospital with no one but they didnt seem to mind. Also me and Killian got lots done today. We were both hoping to bring Henry home within the next few days.

The last things we really needed to do was decorate our room and finish off Liam's room, the guest bedroom, the kitchen and the study. But we called it a night and fell asleep in the waiting room snuggled up together.
