Chapter Twenty Nine: The Gala {Part Two}

Killian's POV

We step out of the limo and i'm immediately greeted by the charities chairman. Emma meets them too and we walk towards the red carpet. Paparazzi are shouting at us to stop and take photos which we end up doing with the boys. They take some solo photos then we walk into the venue. My nerves started getting the best of me as i see how full the room really was.

Emma was amazed by how great everything turned out and was staring at all the decorations. The stage was huge and was being prepped for the dance academy that was performing for us. As the boys ran off to the game part of the venue me and Emma ventured into the crows to greet everyone.

I wrapped my arm around hers and starred into her eyes. She blushed and we first went to talk to Robin and Regina. Robin had done so much to help out with this Gala and i was so happy he could be here as him and Regina had been spending a lot of time in Italy too. Emma caught up with Regina as they hadn't seen eachother in so long.

Next we went to my old boss, the CEO of the studio now alongside Robin and talked to him for a while. Emma had never met him before so she was curious to find out more about him.

After that we basically went around everyone. We tried to talk to most people so they felt welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere was amazing and i was so proud of how smoothly things were going. Emma couldnt have been more happier as we sat down to watch the dance academy.

Throughout the whole performance me and Emma swayed to the music. Emma never took her eyes off the dancers. I knew how much this specific dance academy meant to her and i wanted to make this night special for her, it was all for her.

Halfway through the performance Emma began to cry, i will admit it was emotional and the dancers were so graceful. I pulled her close to me and she stopped crying shortly after. When the dance was over the whole room gave a standing ovation. The guests then went back over to the main part of the venue and began talking again.

I decided to go over to the gaming part with Liam and Henry whilst Emma stayed with Regina. She insisted i stayed with the boys as it started to get crowded and we didnt want to loose them. I spent a good hour with them until it was finally time to do my speech.

I was terrified but also relieved that it would soon be over shortly after. I walked up the stage steps and stayed backstage until i was announced onstage. The charity's chairman announced me on and i walked across the stage to the mic stand. I took a deep breath an looked out to the huge crowd around the stafe clapping as i walked on. It was nerve wrecking and i was in edge but i decided to play it cool and start the speech.

Emma's POV

I saw the look on Killian's face and could tell he was nervous. But i had faith whatever he said in his speech would be amazing.

"Wow, there's a lot of you here. This night, this Gala has been a personal future goal for me for many many years. After my parents passed i knew i wanted to take their space as the owner and manager of J.P studios. They always told me i was capable enough to do so. So to stand here infront of you all as the owner and manager is such an amazing achievement for me and i have so many people to thank.
My younger brother Liam. I remember the minute i heard i was going to have a younger brother i knew..... I knew i was gaining a life long friend. He has been my motivater for years and is definitely a bright little spark. I know he was potential. And i hope he follows his dreams.
My partner in crime Robin. My encourager and helper. From day one he knew how much this all meant to me and supported me every step of the way. Thank you for that Robin.

Now I know there is many many many more people i need to thank but im finishing with the most important.

My fiancée Emma. My beautiful, smart and loving fiancée Emma. She has been there when others didn't even know i was hurt. She is such a strong woman who had been through too much for me to even comprehend. This Gala is all in honour for her. Emma has had two miscarriages these past couple of years. She was then diagnosed with Polycystic ovarian syndrome a few months back. It broke my heart to see how much it effected her. She wanted another child for so so long and it tore her apart that it would never happen. But... Thanks to the research of gynaecologist all around the country, Emma was cured. She could possibly have more kids. That's our goal. So every single penny that was spent tonight and raised will go towards the Genesis research trust. A charity that continues to research the infertile and find out more about it. A charity that Emma holds close to her heart.

I would like to welcome her on stage now, My fiancée Emma Swan."

Everyone clapped and cheered and i held my dress up in my hands as i walked up the stairs. I walked over to Killian on the stage and hugged him. He stepped away from the mic so i could speak.

"Everything Killian said is true. I hold the Genesis research trust close to my heart for many many many reasons. In 2009 i had my first miscarriage at 36 weeks. A little girl I named Keeley. A few months prior to that i lost my husband Neal to suicide. So the first years of my adult life didnt go as planned. The only good thing about it all was that i had a son Henry who is fourteen years old. He too hasnt had the easiest life. He was diagnosed with lung cancer, another thing that the GRT research for cures for. He still has it in his system but after his transplant he was been better than ever. About two- three months ago i lost another baby, a boy we eventually named Alex. It was shortly after i had met Killian and i knew the minute we were in a relationship that i wanted a family with him. So to loose another child was heart squashing.

This all leads up to the GRT, who have researched and cured so many diseases and infrctions. Thanks to them, my son is healthy once again and i could have more kids. So I'm so incredibly honoured to dedicate this night to them."

I looked over at Killian as the crowd clapped again. He handed me an envelope and smiled.

"I would like to invite the one chairpersons of the Genesis Research Trust, Mrs. Ella Wright."

She walks onstage and i hug her.

"So i called Ella onstage to reveal to her how much we have managed to raise. So in this envelope i have the exact amount."

I nervously open the flap and she smiles at me with excitement, I peeked in and saw just how much the amount was.

"We have raised and incredible $862.199!"

Raising nearly one million had stunned me. All the celebrities and critics were here supporting this and putting hundreds towards it and this was the outcome.

At the end of the night everyone started to leave and I was feeling so tired. I couldn't wait to get home. We said one last goodbye to everyone then got into our limousine again. On the way home the boys and Killian were talking about how much fun they had. I couldnt help but smile at them at how happy they were.

When we arrived home Killian ordered a pizza and put on a movie. We all got changed into our pyjamas then hung out in the game room watching the movie and eating pizza.

After hours of fun we all we to bed. I was so glad as i was really tired. I cuddled up to Killian and fell asleep beside him, happy with what i had in this life.

|Im so sorry this is late! I've been so busy with school and it was one of the most important weeks if my life so I apologise!
