Today, we went to the Marina Bay Sands. Well.....not exactly. We didn't go inside the building actually, but that's what the excursion's called! Anyway, the first thing my class & my twin bro's class did after assembly(where people gather before classes start) was to split into different teams. I was in Team 1A. All the girls in my class+ 4 boys were in there while the rest of the boys were in Team 2A. As you know, boys are pretty noisy and thus needed strictness to keep them in place. Needless to say, Team 2A got a stricter facilitator.
In the teams, we were further split down to pairs. Thankfully, we were allowed to choose our partners. In the end, I partnered with one of my friends. With all this gender tension in my class, all the girls would sort of die(excluding me, because I have a history of partnering a boy/in the same group as boys, but I will be way less than thrilled) if they were partnered with boys. And all the boys would also sort of die when partnering with girls, especially the cool boys. They always like to be together and have want nothing to do with girls, unless it's infatuation. But logically, everyone doesn't want to tell who they're infatuated with. (Don't ask how many boys I had been infatuated with. Its as bad as the game which decided that I'm "married" to 5 BOYS.)
After we were in pairs, each pair was given a Samsung phone for the excursion. Then we go into a certain app specially tailored for the excursion. After creating our own account(its just punching in your name and your partner's name and "clicking" on the "embark" button), we (whole class) sign into it and hopped onto the bus(we returned the phones first).
Before we went off, the stricter facilitator:
1) Forced the boys in Team 2A to tell what does another type of "MBS" stand for. There's no alternative unless you want to "drop 10" ,as the facilitator called it, after arriving at the destination. "Drop 10" means do 10 pushups. Only after "M" and "B" only did Team 2A facilitator realise Team 1A didn't know what's she talking about. Another type of "MBS" the Team 2A facilitator taught us is:
M-Mutual Respect
B-Buddy System
S-Safety
2) Said the boys in Team 2A are "so cool, so handsome, so suave in order to woo the girls"(she didn't compliment them). Well, its not exactly "woo"(she used another word), but the meaning is still the same. Unsurprisingly, all the girls(including me, not one of us had ever heard anyone say such a remark) giggled.
3) Has to call two boys (I'm using initials here) BK and RLL(I wanted to put "RL" but my twin bro says its more accurate to put that) "Handsome one, put on your seat belt!" (She called them separately.)
When we first arrived at the destination, my team immediately went from stop to stop. In each stop, we have to read the information provided of the place, do a quiz, and do some activities(its all in the that certain app, they returned the phones to us). Sorry if I can't tell you all the stop names, I have bad memory. For the quiz, we can ask for help. For the final stop, we didn't go because:
1) The weather is too hot.
2) Its very far.
So...we just did the survey provided after the excursion.
After the excursion, we went back to school to play Game Of Life again.
(I just realised, I paid more attention to the scene before the trip than the trip itself. No offence. Possibly because of the scene in the bus? :P)
