Can I survive dinner?

Me and Trè had a conversation at which took some weird turns and I was kinda uncomfortable. Trè always had the strangest questions. "If you could come back to life as any animal what would you be? If you could eat any person who would you eat? What do you think Santa Clause tastes like?" And that was only a few of them.

At the time that dinner came, (around 9;30-my mom took a long time with my dad hmmmmm?) we didn't have enough chairs so we just ate in the dining room instead of the kitchen. We never eat in there except when we have holidays at our house, so it felt strange eating in the red, fancy room with cream, cushioned chairs, and tan, patterned curtains. It was very silent until my mother started asking questions. "So, where are you guys headed?" She asked.

"Pittsburg," answered one of the men.

"Not that far away," replied my dad. I don't think a lot of people knew what he was intending but I did and I definitely saw that Jason did-that they could just walk. My mom replied to this statement by stomping on his foot under the table. "no body knew what it meant," my dad whisper/yelled at my mom.

"Does it really matter?!" My mom yelled, trying not very hard to hide their conversation, "These are our guests! Can't you just accept that?!"

"Can't you just accept that I might actually not want you to cheat on me with a bunch of guys that you don't even know?!" My dad yelled back.

"Why don't you just trust me?!" Another yell from mom.

"Maybe because I've had four wives before that all cheated on me!"

"Yea and now, you might lose your fifth," ooooo burn from mom. My mom got up threw her napkin down and stomped out of the room.

Ok, mommy time! Let me tell you a bit about my mom, she had been married twice. She divorced one, Brian, because it was a long term relationship and it didn't really work out. She divorced her second one, Donald, because he would slap her. He didn't beat her he just slapped her. I don't know if that counts for beating but if it does, then ok he beat her. She called the cops and they took him to court and since she had no evidence that he "beat" her, they had no choice but to let him free. She also does not like it when a man she has been married to for about 15 years, my dad, does not trust her. When she was about my age, she got kidnapped and almost raped until her mother took her life for her. The man who kidnapped her was in his mid twenties and was in jail until a few months ago, when the police did another trial and found no other evidence and set him free. (sarcastic) yay. So, you could understand why she would be so strict . Also she has had only one child-me :D. Her name is Elizabeth. Her maiden name is Elizabeth Raider. So, yea that's a few things about my mom.

"Wait, Liz," my dad called to her.

"Don't call me that!" I heard her call back. The table was silent and the air was tense.

"I know what he meant," Jason burst out.

"What?" Billie asked, confused.

"I know what he meant when he said Pittsburg isn't that far away," he replied loiking up at me giving me a glare. Billie looked at him and followed his glare. Soon everyone started staring at me. My face went as red as a tomato. I really didn't know what to say. Why was he so mad at me? I wasn't the person who said anything! Finally I figured out what to say.

"Yea I did, too," I said as I nervously got up picked up my plate and left. Followed by the eyes of the 6 guys.
