Robin
"Look at this brave mothafucker!" Dee races in the living room smiling from ear to ear. "You gotta see this shit bruh." He puts his phone right in front of me blocking my view of the game I was watching.
"What man can't you see the game on?" I try and maneuver around him.
"Robin this shit is legendary look." I finally give in and watched the video that he had in front of me.
"Oh shit!....Is that Zavion?" I try and get a better look at what I just seen. Somebody blasted up a room full of niggas packing cocaine.
"Yeah that's Zavion and he just called Kasey out on war....you do know what this means right?"
I through back my head in frustration of knowing that this meant I had to somehow be involved.
"Yeah you already know home boy, Kasey wants us at his place in like a hour so let's go." Dee tries to pump me up to be apart of this but I didn't see no point in this. But without hesitation I get up and follow my big brother to the car.
"Why ain't Michael or Alec ever apart this shit?" I ask after getting in the car.
"Michael and Alec ain't never home." He smirks. "But you been riding with me since you was a shorty why let you stop now. It ain't like you going to college." He says and my stomach quivers.
"I mean I did hear back from MSU and I got a full scholarship, I'm just tryna make up my mind." I admit. I always wanted to go to MSU and once they accepted me on a athletic scholarship I thought about it but I haven't decided yet.
"Man we ain't college boys, we street boys. You can gone head and write MSU back and thank them for the thought but you already where you supposed to be." I didn't think much of what he said but I mean he had a point. I ain't no academic person, all I had was my sport and without that I didn't know what was next so maybe my best bet was to just chill where I was needed. "Stop stressin' lil bro and trust me. College ain't for you."
"Yeah man you might have a point." I turn my attention out the window while he continues to drive. "I wonder what possessed Zavion to make such a bold move? I wouldn't go after Kasey ass with the whole U.S Armed force." I laugh.
"Yeah me either but that's why its good to be on the side of the crazy mothafuckers rather than against them. I'm just thinking about all this money we about to get paid after we finally get rid of Zavion ass." His smile grows from anticipation.
"What if we don't win?" I become doubtful. He just remains silent and continues driving as if he didn't wanna think about the possibility of us losing. "Because this isn't monopoly, we just can't be sore losers if we lose....we die." I proceed.
"Robin just....be quiet a'ight? Ain't nobody got time for that kind of thinkin' we got this and we winnin' ain't no losing in my blood." He says but I catch a hint of uncertainty in his voice. The car came to a stop and I unbuckled my seat belt.
"Kasey knows how to fuckin' live." I utter admiring his stylish penthouse. It was right off the bay of the ocean and in a nice location.
"When you turnin' profit like he is, you can afford to live like this." He pulls out his phone and quickly dials Kasey's number. "We downstairs buzz us in." The sound of a loud engine caught my attention and I watch as a off colored blackish Mercedes Benz eased from around a building across the street.
"....Who the fuck?" I squint my eyes tryna figure who this was cruising outta alleys and shit. The black tinted windows prevented you from seeing inside. "Wait a min-" My eyes widen. "Dee move!" I tackle Dee behind the concrete wall in front of the penthouse. Within seconds bullets flew from every direction. Dee grabbed his pistol from his waistband and fired shots back at the car. Just in time Kasey came down the stairs returning fire as well. A bullet missed him by an inch and he hid next to us behind the wall.
