Chapter 38

*First person pov*

"Naruto!" I yell. He charges at Haku. His mask breaks, revealing his face. Naruto stops dead in his tracks. "You're from that time." Naruto says. I run next to Naruto. "Naruto..." I say, panting. He looked shocked. "Ciel! You should be resting!" Naruto scolds. "Please, don't hurt him!" I yell. Haku looked at me shocked. "I just killed your friend. Yet, you want to protect me? Why is that? And you, why did you stop?" Haku asks. Naruto looks back at Duckbutt then punches Haku. "Damn it!" Naruto yells. Haku coughs up blood. "You can't kill me with just that. What happened to your intensity?" Haku asks. "There are people who make this mistake. Not killing their enemy because of pity... letting them leave with just their lives. Not having a dream... Not being needed by anyone... the pain of simply living." Haku says. "What are you trying to say?" Naruto asks, clearly confused. "Zabuza-sama has no reason for a weak shinobi like me. You have taken away my reason of existing." Haku says, smiling. "Why for a guy like that!? He's a bad guy who takes money from a criminal! Is that eyebrowless freak the only person important person to you!?" Naruto yells. Haku was silent for awhile. "I had people who were dear to me. A long time ago.... my.... parents." Haku said. Naruto just stared at Haku as he told his story. I wasn't really listening because I already knew. "So now you know? So please.... kill me Naruto, Ciel." Haku said. I smell Lightning. I look over to where Kakashi was and he had chidori (A/N: I think?) on. Right now?! Naruto and Haku were talking while I got ready to run. It's decided! Fuck Naruto's nindo, Haku and Zabuza don't deserve to die! Naruto charged with a kunai. Haku caught his arm. "Sorry Naruto-kun! But I can't die yet!" Haku yelle and did a hand seal and disappeared. NOW!! I start bolting for Kakashi. If I did this wrong, I might die or Haku will die! I kept running. Kakashi was really close and I see Haku appear in front of Zabuza. I push harder but I knew I wouldn't make it. I trip on the ground. "HAKU!!!" I yell as I watch Kakashi pierced Haku in the heart. I felt tears streaming down my face. I see Zabuza grab his sword, planning to cut down Kakashi and Haku. Kakashi dodges with Haku. "Naruto, Ciel, stay there." Kakashi says to us as he closes Haku's eyes. "This is my fight!!" Kakashi yells anger clear in his voice and face. Tears are still streaming down my face. "Naruto! Ciel-kun! Where is Sasuke-kun?" Pinky yells to us. I look down and Naruto looks away. Pinky just stayed silent. Pinky took Tazuna and ran where Duckbutt was. I just closed my eyes. I was too late! Haku-kun, I'm sorry. So sorry. I didn't even care what was going around me. I thought being a shinobi would be fun. I was so, so wrong! How did I not figure this out a long time ago?! I open my eyes and I see Cat and his gang. It's his fucking fault! I'm going to kill him! If he didn't send Haku and Zabuza or even hire them, this wouldn't have happened! "Gato, why are you here? And what's with all these men?!" Zabuza growled. "Hehehe. The plan has changed. Actually, I planned this from the start. Zabuza you are going to die here." Cat says. "What?" Zabuza growls. "I never planned to pay any money. Hiring a normal ninja is expensive and they may betray me... so I get missing nins who are easy to take care of afterwards. I have ninjas battle each other and once they were weakened, I kill them with numbers. It doesn't cost me anything, good plan don't you think? The only problem was you, Zabuza. The devil of the hidden mist? What a joke, if you ask me... heh, you're just a cute little baby devil." Cat says. "We can easily kill you now!" The group shouted. "Kakashi, I'm sorry. But this fight is over. Now I have no reason to go after Tazuna. I have no reason to fight you." Zabuza says. "You're right." Kakashi agrees. "Oh yeah, I owe this one..." Cat says as he walk up to Haku. "He squeezed my arm until it broke." Cat says as he kicks Haku. I felt anger surge through me. "YOU BASTARD!! I'LL KILL YOU!!" Me and Naruto yell. We both run at the crowd but Kakashi pulls us back by the collar. "Hold on! Look at their numbers!" Kakashi says. Tears stream down my face like a waterfall and I turn to Zabuza. "YOU DAMN COW!! SAY SOMETHING!! WEREN'T YOU FRIENDS!!" I yell. "Shut up Ciel. Haku is already dead." Zabuza says to me. "DON'T YOU FEEL ANYTHING AT ALL?! WEREN'T YOU TWO ALWAYS TOGETHER!?" Naruto yells. "As I was used by Gato, I used Haku. That all it was. I've already said it... In the world of the shinobi there are only those who use, and those who are used. We shinobi are tools... What I wanted was his blood, not him... I have no regrets." Zabuza said, coldly. "Hey... do you really mean that?" Me and Naruto say at the same time. We both rip from Kakashi's grip. "Stop! We are not fighting him anymore. Plus-" Kakashi was cut off by Naruto. "SHUT UP! MY ENEMY IS STILL HIM!!" Naruto shouts. I point to Haku. "He.... he really loved you. He loved you that much that he sacrificed himself." I say, raising my voice a little. "DO YOU REALLY FEEL NOTHING?!" Naruto yells. "DO YOU REALLY.... REALLY NOT FEEL ANYTHING AT ALL?!" I start yelling. "IF I BECOME AS STRONG AS YOU... WILL I REALLY BECOME LIKE YOU?!" Me and Naruto yell. "HE THREW HIS LIFE AWAY FOR YOU!" Naruto yells. "WITHOUT A DREAM OF HIS OWN..." I yell, tears coming like rivers. "TO DIE AS A TOOL..." Naruto yells. "That's... Too sad...." Me and Naruto say at the same time. "Kids." Zabuza calls. We look at him. "You don't.... have to say anymore.." Zabuza looks at us, tears in his eyes. "Kid... it pained him to fight you, especially you Ciel... Haku fought not only for you, but for you guys too. He was too kind. I'm glad I got to face you guys in the end... Yeah kid... you maybe right." As he says this, I walked over to a piece of ice, that was a little bit bigger than my hand. "A shinobi is still human... we may not be able to become emotionless tools." Zabuza says. "Kid! let me borrow your kunai!!" Zabuza yells to Naruto. "Yeah." Naruto says as he throws a kunai to Zabuza and he catches it in his mouth. "I hope you don't mind if I join ya." I say. He turns to me. "Sure, like I care." Zabuza says. Kakashi notices the ice that was in my hand. "Ciel! Don't tell me...!" Kakashi says shocked. I start eating the ice until there was none left. I stomp on the floor and it becomes ice. "Wind ice dragon mode." I say. I see scales appear on my body and I realize what was happening. Dragon force! I feel wings grow on my back. "Let's go, Zabuza." I say. I see the shock on Zabuza's face and back to composed. "Sure." We both charge at the crowd. They looked scared. "A-A d-devil!" As they look at Zabuza. The people looked at me. "A-A Dragon!!!" They yell. I do a few hand seals. "Wind Ice dragon's roar!!" I yell. A hurling mass of wind and ice launched at the thugs. I took a lot of them out. The rest ran away and I grabbed a sword off the ground and flew and stabbed Cat. Zabuza also stabbed Cat at the same time. We both threw Cat off the bridge and Zabuza collapsed. I knew he didn't have much time. "Do you want me to take you to Haku-kun?" I ask him. "Yes, thank you." I pick him up and my scales disappear. My wings also retracted. "CIEL-KUN! NARUTO! SASUKE-KUN'S FINE!" Pinky yelled. I nod and hear something behind me. I jump out of the way when a thug tried to stab me. "Don't forget about us! With Gato gone, we don't have our meal ticket! We are going to loot this village!" Some guy said. "This is bad." Kakashi says. "Kakashi-sensei! You don't have a special jutsu to defeat them all?!" Naruto says, panicking. "I can't... I used up too much chakra." Kakashi says. I set Zabuza down and got into battle stance. The crowd starts charging at us, wielding weapons. Just then, a lone arrow stuck itself in the ground in front of them. "If you come any further, the people of the country will hit you with everything we got!" Inari yells. I smirk. Everyone looked relieved. "Hehehe! A hero shows up at the last second, right?" Inari questions, smiling. Naruto and Kakashi makes kage bunshins. Ooooh it's about to go down. If they can do it, I can. I made the hand seal for kage bunshins and about 60 appeared. "You wanna go?!" all my clones say. The thugs shake their heads frantically and ran away. That's what I thought. I disperse my clones and continued taking Zabuza to Haku. It started snowing. I lay Zabuza next to haku. "Thank you, Ciel. Only if we listened to you." He says. "I would say I told you so but now is not a good time." I say. He turns to Haku. "If I could.... I'd like to..... go to the same place.... as you." Zabuza says as he shakily touches Haku's face. I see the life leave his eyes. "It was always snowing where he was born." Naruto says, tears in his eyes. "I see... He was a boy as pure as snow." Kakashi responding. I'm sure you can go to the same place as him, Zabuza. Goodbye Haku, Zabuza.
