Chapter 122

*First person pov*

I groan when there is a knock at the door. "Okay!! I heard ya!!" I yell to the person behind the door as I change my clothes because I was... well... not very decent. "Come on Ciel! We don't have time!" I heard Naruto yell. "Then use the spare key I gave you! Wait in the living room!" I yell to them as I wrapped the bandages around my chest so it's flat. Keiko stirs in her sleep and looks at me. "What's going on Mommy?" Keiko asks, rubbing her eyes. "We're going on a mission." I tell her as I finished changing. "Okay... Let Keiko get changed first." Keiko says as she throws on a pink dress Ayame gave her. I walk out of my room but no Naruto and Shikamaru in the living room. I go to the door and open it, Naruto was still there and so was Shikamaru. "Okay, why didn't you enter my lovely abode when I told you to?" I ask them. "Well, we were gonna but Shikamaru stopped me saying it's wrong. I tell him that I do this all the time but he insisted on waiting outside." Naruto says. "But it's wrong! I mean, Ciel is...." Shikamaru says, blushing. Oh yeah, I forgot he figured out that I was a girl. "Ciel is what?" Naruto asks. "Nothing, let's just get the others." Shikamaru grumbles. "Alright, let's go!" Keiko announces. We start running down the apartment complex and Shikamaru starts explaining on what happened. "Oh, yeah I knew that Duckbutt left. In fact, I met him last night when he was departing." I said, yawning since it was like 5:30 in the morning. Shikamaru whips his head towards me. "Why didn't you tell anyone!?" Shikamaru yells. "Because reasons. Too late now, let's get the other dorks." I say, brushing it off. "So, we're the superb ninjas you chose?" Naruto asks Shikamaru. "I thought I made that apparent. Yeah, but there are a few others." Shikamaru tells us. We run to a house... if I recall the symbol on the door, it's the Akimichi clan. Shikamaru knocks on the door and we wait. Choji opens the door, eating potato chips. Shikamaru explains the situation to Choji. "...So we're counting on you Choji. Hurry up and get ready, we'll be waiting at the Front Gate in 10 minutes." Shikamaru finishes. "Didn't you say 'excellent ninjas'?! If we needed someone, we could have asked Shino or..." Naruto trails off. "Choji and I, we've been working closely as a team for a long time. He's the easiest person for me to work with." Shikamaru tells us. "Yeah, every man counts. I think that Choji is strong." Choji smiles at this and I hear a dog barking at us. "Akamaru!" I yell as I run over to him and scoop him up. He starts liking me and I pet him. "Right now, Shino is on a mission with his father." Kiba says as he takes Akamaru out of my arms. I cry silently as Akamaru gets taken out of my arms. Keiko, jealous of Akamaru, climbs into my arms, forcing all of my attention on her. "This is what I get for waking up early and trying to take a walk. Well, I've heard all of it. Sounds like quite a problem there." I hear Kiba say as I pet Keiko. She purrs and smiles a bit. "Now, we need to go to the Hyuuga residence." Shikamaru says. "Are we getting Neji?" I ask, looking up, all of my attention on Shikamaru much to Keiko's dismay. "Yeah." Shikamaru answers. "Why him? He just goes on and on about destiny." Kiba asked, annoyed that Neji was coming. "Well, he is one of the strongest genins here, second to me haha!" I laugh. "But... I think he is really a good person. He just had a bad past to make him like this. If you get to know him, he really is a nice person. Or maybe I'm just being optimistic haha!" I say. "Well, let's just get Neji." Shikamaru says. Me, Naruto, Shikamaru, and Keiko all leave Kiba and Choji so they can get ready. We run to Neji's home and I'm still amazed every time I see it. It's so big! I knock on the door and a Hyuuga maid answers the door. "Hi! Do you think you can get Neji for us? We have a mission for him." I tell the maid. She nods but looks me over. "Excuse me, but forgive me for asking, but are you the one who saved Neji-san that time before the exams? The one who graduated the Academy only being there for 2 days?" The maid questioned. I laugh nervously. "Uh, yeah. You guys still remember that?" I ask the maid. "Of course! We are grateful that you saved Neji from seriously injuring himself. Hiashi-sama wanted to properly thank you, but it's a little late." The maid says. "Oh, okay. I'll talk to Hiashi after my mission. It's better he say thank you now than never, right?" I say. "Of course sir." She says bowing and runs off to find Neji. "Ciel, when did you save Neji?" Naruto asks. "Story for another day Naruto." I tell him. "Shikamaru-nii, what is the plan for finding Duckbutt?" Keiko asks Shikamaru. "I'll tell you all at the front gate." Shikamaru tells Keiko. Neji came to the door. "The maid told me that there is a mission. Care to explain what the mission is?" Neji asks. Shikamaru explains to Neji what happened. "... And that's what happened. We are meeting up at the front gate in 10 minutes, so use this time to get ready." Shikamaru explains. "I see. Well, I'm already changed and ready so let's go." Neji says walking out the door. "Okay! That's all the people! Let's go!" I announce. We run to the front gates and wait for Choji and Kiba. They came 7 minutes later. "Alright, times up! Well, for now we got a 6 man team." Shikamaru says, stretching a little. "Keiko and Akamaru are a part of this!" Keiko yells. "I said MAN. Not ANIMAL." Shikamaru drawls. Keiko goes to pick gloom shrooms because she isn't counted as part of a team. Then suddenly, a wild Lee appears! "I happen to know what's going on. *Sigh* But during times like this, I want to..." Lee trails off. "Lee, there are other things you need to worry about." Neji tells him. "I'm sorry Lee, maybe next time." I tell him, pressing my hands together above my head like I'm praying in a weird way. "Well, let's get out of here!! Everybody follow me!" Naruto announces, fist bumping the air.
