Chapter 107

*First person pov*

It's been a few days since Weasel came to visit me. I didn't tell anybody about it, I didn't need anybody worrying about me. Me, Naruto, and Keiko were walking around the town. We were getting some food. I forgot we were getting, it looked like some kind of bread. "Pleaaaase Ciel? Tell me what happened to you hand!" Naruto asks. "I'm not telling you." I say. Everybody has been pestering me on what happened to my hand. "Tell me!" Naruto yells, gaining some attention. "Alright, alright! I'll tell you if you stop making a scene!" I yell. "What happened was twirling my kunai around my fingers and doing tricks. I got cocky and tried to do complicated trick where you had to throw the kunai in the air, something along the lines of that. I failed and and ended up stabbing myself, okay? I don't want to talk about it, it hurts my pride." I lie. I'm such a good liar. Bet I can lie better. Sure you can. "Daddy is an idiot." Keiko states. I hold my heart like I got hurt. "Ow, that hurts you know." I say as I fake hurt. We got to the front of the line and Naruto starts ordering. While we were waiting, I notice Naruto was watching a father and son. "Hey Dad! Buy me an Ice cream!" "Well, let's get one then... the one that goes 'Snap'!" they converse as they get a popsicle. There is a difference between ice cream and popsicles, ya know. "Ooooow, I can eat it all by myself..." the kid says. "No you can't! Mom's made lunch and she's waiting for us at home." the father says as they leave. I could tell that he was depressed, since he didn't have any parents to experience it. I knew that if I said something it won't change it. "Let's head back Naruto." I tell him. "Wait! Keiko wants a ice cream that goes snap!" Keiko announces. God damnit Keiko, you're adding oil to the fire! "Uh sure." I say as I walk up to the ice cream booth. I noticed that there was three stick popsicle. (Is that even a thing? Well I'm making it a thing XD!) "Hey, can I have one of those three sticks popsicles?" I ask the person behind the booth. "Sure thing! What flavor?" The guy asks. I shrug. "I don't know, surprise me." I tell him. He laughs and grabs a random one. "Enjoy!" He tells me, smiling. I pay him and walk over to Naruto and Keiko. "Here, one for each of you!" I announce. Keiko cheers and rips one stick off and starts eating. I smile and I rip another off to give to Naruto. He stares the popsicle I was holding out to him. "What's the matter? You not hungry?" I ask him. He shakes his head and accepts the popsicle. "Thanks Ciel!" Naruto shouts as he eats the popsicle. I smile and I eat mine as we walk. "Careful Keiko. Eat it fast or it will drip." I tell her. "But Keiko is eating fast as she can." Keiko says, making slurping noises as she eats. "I can't let you eat on my head if it drips. It will get in my hair and get very sticky." I tell her. Keiko whines and eats faster. Naruto laughs lightly at Keiko and eats his popsicle. I smile and eat my popsicle. Naruto finishes his popsicle and he had juice on his face. I laugh and I wipe his face. "H-Hey! S-Stop! Sometimes you act like a mother sometimes!" Naruto teases. "Well, if I didn't, what kind of parent would I be?" I tell Naruto, referring to Keiko. He shrugs. "I don't know, but you act like a mother more than a father." Naruto says. I shrug. "I don't know, I think that Keiko needs a motherly figure than a fatherly figure." I tell him. "Wha? I think a kid needs a father more than anything!" Naruto tells me. "Well, I'm not going to change that fact that I'm going to not be a motherly figure." I tell Naruto. He huffs. "You're weird, you know that Ciel?" Naruto states. "And proud." I add. "Yeah, weird and proud." Naruto says. I smile as we made it back to the training grounds and Ero-sennin was there. Naruto walks up to Ero-sennin, handing him the bread or whatever it is. "Hey, today.... can you help me with my training? Just a bit?" Naruto asks him hesitantly. "I don't have that kind of time. We won't eat here either. We'll eat while we're walking down to the town." Ero-sennin says, grabbing the bag of bread. We were just there in town... why didn't you come with us when we went into town idiot. True dat. Naruto looked upset about something... is he thinking about the dad and son? Hope not. "You are going to have to do this on your own. You have to think and find your own key on your own. You'll never get it right if I help you through every single thing, not letting you stand on your own. I told you three weeks ago, to stop acting like a baby! You're a ninja!" Ero-sennin tells Naruto. Naruto stays quiet for a second. "Heeehehee! You don't have to tell me!!" He smiles and laughs, but I know it's strained.
