Chapter 45

*First person pov*

I wake up to... not the sound of birds. All I heard was a crack. I open my eyes and I see the egg cracking. My eyes widen and I sit up. The crack gets bigger and bigger. Please let it be a female exceed! The egg fully hatches and a little ball of fur tumbles out. Oh my god that has to be the cutest exceed I have ever seen. (It's the picture above. I know it isn't a cat, pretend it is and if anyone who had watched the anime the character was from, I will love you forever.) It looks up at me and put its arms out to grab me. "Da-daddy!" The exceed yells. I scoop it up in and hug it. "OH MY GOD YOU ARE SO CUTE!!" I yell. I let go of it and I point to myself. "Hey I am mommy. Mom-my." I say as I point to myself. "Da-daddy?" The exceed asks. I throw my hands up in frustration. "Oh I give up." I say as bury myself in the bed. I look up and I see the exceed spread it's wings. I jolt up. "Yes! Just spread your wings and flap them." I say as I flap my arms. The exceed flaps it's wings to try them out then actually tried flying. The exceed got it on the first try and starts flying around and then flies to me. "Daddy!" The exceed yells as it dives into my arms. I laugh and I set the exceed on the bed. "Now, I can't tell if you are a girl or a boy, so I am going to awkwardly look at your butt, ok?" I ask it. It puts it's hand up. "Aye!" It yells. I freeze. "D-Did y-you just say aye?" I ask. It puts his hand up again. "Aye!" It yells again. This has to be the best day of my life. I look awkwardly at it's butt and it was a she. Aww yeah! Naruto owes me! I turn him around and plant him on her butt. "Alright, now I need to name you. How about... Kyoko?" I ask. She made her arms in a 'x' shape. "Alrighty, um, what about... Yuki?" I ask. I get the same answer from her. "No! I want a happy name!" She yells. "Alright, alright. Um... maybe Keiko? It means happy." I say. She formed his hands in a 'o'. "Keiko likes that name! Keiko! Keiko!" She twirls around happily but falls from dizziness. I chuckle. "Daddy, Keiko's hungry. Keiko wants to eat!" She yells. I laugh. She's speaking in 3rd person, how cute. "Hold on, I will make you something." I say as I walk to kitchen and make some warm milk. Wait... do I need a baby bottle? I think Keiko will be fine. I bring her the glass of milk and chugs the whole thing the down. I had to hold the glass because she couldn't lift it. After she finished eating, I left to go get dressed. After I get dressed, I go back to my room, where Keiko was. She was sleeping. Cute... I pick her up gently and walk out of the house, since I couldn't afford a babysitter. I hum as I walk. Hmm... I wonder when I start Keiko's training. I want her to be able to pick me up off the ground and fly me places, but I think she's too young. I look at her and she snuggles up into my arm. Cute... I look at the time and it was 11:00. I still got time. I'll just walk around the village. "CIEL!!" I hear a person yell behind me. I look behind me and I see Naruto. I feel Keiko squirm in my arms, I have to silence Naruto quick! "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODA-" I slap a hand over Naruto's mouth. "Shh! She's sleeping." I whisper. Naruto shoves my hand off his mouth. "Who?" He whispers. "The baby that hatched from the egg. Look here." I show Naruto. He widens his eyes. "Ehh!? I didn't know cats hatch from eggs." Naruto says. "She's not a kitten. She is an exceed, a cat like creature with wings that talks." I say. He furrows his brows in confusion. "It looks like a normal cat to me." Naruto states. "Oh really...?" I say. I start shaking Keiko awake. "Keiko, wake up, I want you to meet someone." I whisper softly to her. She squirms a little before waking up. She opens her icy blue eyes and it wells up in tears. "Oh shi- I mean, oh shoot! Don't cry, it's okay, you're fine." I try to sooth. I have never been good with kids and because of that, I started hating them. She calms down before she cries and make a ruckus. She giggles. "Daddy!" She yells. Naruto's mouth drops. "I-It j-just t-talked!" Naruto stutters. I smile at him and I look at Keiko. "Keiko, see that boy over there? Go and fly to him, ok?" I say sweetly that made me want to barf. "Sure!" Keiko yells. She spreads her wings, which made Naruto's eyes widen in surprise. Keiko starts flying towards Naruto and at the same time, Naruto runs. "NOOOO," Naruto yells. Keiko keeps flying. "Wait!" Keiko yells as she giggles. Naruto and Keiko kept chasing around back in forth until Keiko falls. She falls on her stomach face first and tears well up. I run over to pick her up. "No no, don't cry! The pain is just a figure of your imagination! Stop thinking about it, and the pain will go away!" I tell her. Silent tears fall down her face and I shush her. "Shhh... It's ok... You're going to live, it's not the end of the world." I sooth. This went on for 5 minutes until she fell asleep. I sigh and I look over at Naruto. He was hiding behind a bush, eyeing Keiko. "Naruto, you seriously not afraid of Keiko, are you?" I ask, done with his shit. "No, of course not! She just.... Caught me off guard! Yeah, that's right believe it!" Naruto says. I have a hard time believing that... "Well, whatever. You owe me because you lost the bet. Next time we go out to ramen, you're treating me." I say. He gives me a thumbs up. "Yeah! Should we head to the register thing or whatever." Naruto says. I look at the clock and it was already 3:00. What the hell? Time flies so fast here in this world. "Ciel, let's go! Come on!" Naruto yells and he was already ahead of me. "Yeah!" I yell back, careful not to disturb Keiko. I run to him and we start walking.
