Chapter 20

*First person pov*

Naruto crawls out of the water coughing. I tune out at this point. Should I start attacking Kakashi with Dragon slayer magic? Nah, I'll wait until Naruto gets caught in the trap then shit goes down. I come back to reality and I see all the Naruto clones fighting each other. Naruto undid the jutsu and he looked like shit. He spots a bell on the ground and tries to get it but gets caught in the booby trap. Kakashi comes out and starts talking to Naruto. I see the Duckbutt in the trees throw kunai and shurikens at Kakashi but it was a substitute. "Sasuke! You went too far!" Naruto yells. I get up and get out a kunai. I cut Naruto down. "Naruto, we need to work-" Naruto cuts me off. "Sorry Ciel, but I have to defeat Kakashi-sensei!" He runs off making me stumble into a trap in the process. I sigh. "So much for teamwork." I say as I cut myself down. I get down on the ground and walk in the direction where Pinky went. Sasuke is too arrogant to work with me but Pinky, Pinky might just work. I hear Pinky's scream and I jog over to where she was. I found her on the ground. "Hey, Pinky, Pinky wake up!" I slap her lightly. She stirs. "Huh...? Ciel...? What are you doing here?" I help her up. "You were caught in genjutsu. We need to work-" "Where is Sasuke? I need to find him!" I sigh and point to the direction of where Duckbutt is battling Kakashi. "Thank you Ciel!" She says as she runs off. Not long after she left I heard her scream again. I walk over to where she was and I see the Duckbutt's head sticking out of the ground. I start laughing. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU LOOK LIKE A FUCKING CABBAGE! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" I laugh. Oh, if looks could kill. I calmed down. "Do ya want help?" He glares at me. "Fine, rot there." I start to walk away. "Wait!" I turn to see the Duckbutt blush out of embarrassment. "Can you help me out?" I crouch down to his level. "What's the magic word?" He growls. "Can you help me out?" I raise an eyebrow. "Please." He growls out. I blink at him. "The magic word was oil, but OK." I start digging him out with my kunai. After awhile, I get him out. "Hey, we need to work together, there is no way we can get the bell by ourselves." he glares at me. "No, you will only drag me down. I touched the bell earlier without anyones help. I can get it next time. It is the only way to get him." the bell rings and Duckbutt growls. "I've wasted to much time." He walks to the posts. I walk over to Pinky and wake her up. "Huh? Where is Sasuke?" I help her up. "He's fine. The time's up." I say as I lead her to the posts when I was snatched up and then before I can blink I was tied up. I glare at Kakashi. Everybody's except mine growls. "Your stomachs are growling, eh? By the way, the results of the training..... none of you are going to be sent back to the academy." Pinky looked confused. "What? All I did was faint over and over again. Was that okay?" Everybody cheers except for me. "Yeah, you will be dropped from the program permanently!" Everybody stops cheering and look horrified. "Quit being Ninja?! What do you mean?! We couldn't get the bell, but why do you say we have to quit?!" Kakashi looks at Naruto. "That's because you think like brats who don't the deserve the title ninja." This sentence angered the Duckbutt and he charged at him but Kakashi stopped him no sweat. "See? You are all just brats." Pinky jumps up. "Don't step on Sasuke like he is some sort of bug!" Pinky yells. "He just did, Pinky." I say to her, shutting her up. "You think being ninja is easy? Why do you think we're training by breaking up into groups?" He says, glaring at us. I sigh. "Teamwork." I answered. "That's right. But you three were too late to realize it. That's why Ciel is the only one who passes. He had been trying to tell you three but you wouldn't listen. But's that's too bad." Kakashi says, glaring at everyone but me. "But, why do you want us to use teamwork when there is only 3 bells? If we get the bells one will bite the bullet and group conflict will occur instead of teamwork." she says. "Of course. This test put you four against each other. In this situation, we select those who prioritize teamwork before themselves and work together to overcome it. That was the purpose, but you three failed at it. Sakura!" He yells out Pinky's name. "You cared more about Sasuke instead of Naruto, even though when Naruto was in the trap and you didn't even lift a finger to help him! And when Ciel woke you up, all you care was about Sasuke and Ciel told you where he was and you just left him! What if he was injured?" Pinky looked down in shame. "Naruto!" he yelled gaining Naruto's attention. "All you did was work on your own. When Ciel helped you, you just ran off causing Ciel to fall into a trap as well! That results in death in the ninja world. Ciel even said 'So much for teamwork' leaving him to cut himself down!" Naruto looks down in shame as well. "And you Sasuke." He says as he put more pressure on his head. "You thought everyone was below you and thought they were only going to burden you and did everything yourself. Ciel dug you out and offered to work with you even though he hates you! And you denied!" Kakashi says at him. "Missions are done in groups. It's true that ninjas need well-developed individual abilities, but teamwork is more important. Disruption of teamwork results in danger or even death of a teammate. For example." he pulls out a kunai. "Sakura! Kill Naruto or Sasuke will die!" Naruto started panicking. "Or that will happen. If someone was taken hostage it will result in someone dieing. Every mission you put your life on the line." He says as he walks over to the K.I.A rock. "Look at this, many people's names are written on here. Their names are written because they are praise heroes." He says looking sadly at it. Obito.... "I like that! I like that! I've decided that I will have my name carved on there!" I look at him angrily. "NARUTO! THAT HAS TO BE THE STUPIDEST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD!" I yell. He looks at me confused. "I WILL LAY DOWN MY LIFE BEFORE YOUR NAME IS WRITTEN ON THERE!" Naruto looked confused. "W-Why Ciel?" He asked. I remain silent and Kakashi answers for me. "They are a special type of hero." Naruto looks at Kakashi. "What kind of hero?" Kakashi doesn't answer for a while. "They are K.I.A." Naruto looks confused. "K.I.A?" Naruto asks. "Killed in action." I answer for him.
