Chapter 12

~Ski's P.O.V.

We were still swimming.

I dive in the pool and swim around and played Marco-Pollo with everybody.

"Marco" Desmond said "Pollo" everybody said at the same time. Desmond was swimming around yelling Marco trying to find us, it was hard trying to stay quiet while you're in something that can't.

"Marco" Desmond was swimming faster toward every direction. I try swimming away from him but he was behind me with his arms stretch out in front of him, guiding him to not swim into the walls.

"Marco" everyone stayed quiet "come on you have to say Pollo" he cocked his head to the side to listen for our voices.

I said "Pollo" while trying to still get away from him, he starts to swim my way touching my back. "Gotcha" he opens his eyes. I turn around, he puts his hands on my hips.

"Your turn" he gives me a little peck on the lips "okay." He swims away from me.

I turn around in a circle covering my eyes. "Marco" I stretch my arms in front of me "Pollo" I heard Bee right beside me. I swim were I heard her and bumped against the wall hurting my hands.

"Ow" I opened my eyes, I look at my hands seeing they were cut "I'll be right back" I get out of the water "what happened" Bee gets out of the pool too, walking up to me while water is dripping from her long flowing hair.

"I scraped my hands against the wall" I give her a little smile "okay" she goes back into the pool "I'll be in there in a little bit to see if your hands are okay" Desmond said rubbing his eyes "okay" I walk inside.

I get toilet paper from upstairs to wipe the little bit of blood from my hands. The home phone rings I walk over to it not knowing the number. I run to the fridge to see if it was Zak and it was. I answer the phone.

"Hello" I walk in the kitchen to throw away the toilet paper. "I just wanted to call to see if everything thing is okay, so is it" he said "yea everything is fine. We're swimming right now, but I scraped my hands against the wall so I'm inside wiping some of the blood off" I bend over the counter.

"Okay just wanted to know 'cause I had a bad feeling leaving you guys by yourself. But if everything is okay then I'll be there in an hour"

"Okay we might be watching a movie in a minute or something." I walk to his shelf of movies "okay watch what you want" he said "okay I was thinking about wa--" I was cut off by a knock at the door. "I gotta go Zak. Someone's at the door, I'll call you in a little bit" I walk to the phone charger "okay"he said. I hung up the phone and put the phone in it's charger.

"Is your hands okay Ski" Desmond said walking in house dripping wet. "Yea I'm okay" Bee and Jake were right behind him. "I'll go get towels for everyone" Bee said running upstairs, I walk to the door.

Bee comes down the stairs with towels handing them to everyone. I grab mine and wrap it around my chest.

The person at the door knocks harder, I look out the peep hole.

I was scared out of my mind who it was. Daniel.

"Bee it's Daniel" I yelled whispered "oh my god. Don't answer it, pretend we're not here" Bee looked really scared "how did he know we were here" I walked away from the door.

I go to Desmond and hide behind him, "why are you scared of him" he looks at me worried. "I'll tell you when he leaves" I look up at him scared.

Jake walks over to Bee and hugs her. Daniel is still banging on the door like a police officer.

He stopped for a little, until I heard footsteps in the backyard. "Did you lock the back door" I whispered looking at all of them. They all took gasps in like in a "oh no" way. I dropped my towel on the floor, so did everyone else.

I ran to the back door everybody was running behind me. But Daniel was opening the sliding door, I was the first person at the door trying to shut it and locking it but he slid the door open hard. Making the window move almost out place.

"Go run" I said running away from the door away from him. I grab the home phone trying to call 911 but I felt something yank me by my ponytail, jolting me back, making me drop the phone.

Desmond and Jake run to me. Jake gets to me and Desmond goes and punches Daniel in the face. Making him fall to the floor.

I stood up quick. We all ran upstairs to Zak's room, which had another phone.

Jake shuts the door behind him and locks it quick as lightning. "Call the police" I said out of breath, Bee grabs the phone and dials 911. Daniel bangs on the door and jiggles the door handle.

Right after that Jake opens the side window, to act like we jumped out.

"They're on their way here" Bee said throwing the phone on the bed. "Okay, hide in the closet until they come" Desmond said opening the closet door "okay" I grab Bee's hand and run to the closet. Jake goes up to Bee and kisses her deeply "I love you Desmond" I said sitting down in the closet "I love you too" he kisses me passionately "now be quiet" he said closing the closet door. It was so dark and scary.

We heard Daniel bust the door down, "where are they" Daniel said yelling "they jumped out the window" Jake yelled back.

"No they didn't" I heard a punch. And ruffling sounds like they were fighting and thuds. Me and Bee start whimpering, but not loud whimpers for Daniel to hear. Tears were running down my cheeks.

After hearing 5 minutes of ruffling and thuds, there was sirens and car doors being shut.

I stood up quietly trying not to bump into the clothes on hangers. I grab Bee's hand getting ready to run out the door. "On count of three" I said whispering really low to her "One. Two. Three" I swing the door open and we ran out. I didn't look at what was going on but looking where I was going.

We run down the stairs almost tripping.

I heard footsteps behind us, when I got to the bottom of the steps I look back and it was Daniel chasing us.

He pulls me by my ponytail and yanks me back "GO BEE RUN TO THE POLICE!!"

Daniel punches me in the face making me fall to the ground. I held my face, he comes toward me but I kicked him in the groin so hard I bet he felt like he was going to throw up, he fell to the ground holding himself. I got up and started kicking him repeatedly to the face, stomach, and groin. I was doin it VERY hard.

Bee ran in with the police, Bee started kicking him a little bit before they pulled us off.

I just remembered Desmond and Jake were upstairs still. I ran upstairs to Zak's bedroom, Desmond was on the floor laying next to Jake. His head was bleeding.

I got on my knees "Desmond wake up please wake up" I was shaking his chest, Bee was trying to wake up Jake too. I think they were knocked out.

"Desmond wake up" I started crying. Paramedics came in and told us to get out of the way. They put both of them on a gurney and put an oxygen mask on their faces.

Everybody even the police and paramedics went downstairs. I was right by Desmond's side hoping he was going to be okay. I grab my phone off the couch.

I just barely noticed I don't have shoes on. But I ran as fast as I could up the stairs to the guest room and put on short's, shirt, and shoes. I ran downstairs, I saw the police arresting Daniel so I spit on him. He got angry and gave me a evil death glare.

I ran outside into the ambulance with Desmond, Bee was in the other ambulance with Jake.

I held onto Desmond's hand not letting go of it. The paramedic was putting an I.V. in his arm. "It's going to be alright" I kiss his hand and rubbed it.

I grab my phone and dial Zak's number.

I told him what happened "I'm on my way to the hospital" he sounded in a rush to come "okay" I hung up my phone and put it in my back pocket.

I hope he's going to be okay...
