Status #7 --- Night Together

"I choose you. And I'll choose you ,over and over and over. Without pause, without a doubt, in a heartbeat. I'll keep on choosing you."

"Gayle, wake up! We're arrived already."

"Gayle."

"WHAAT?!"

"Relax, it's me. Nandito na tayo."

"Oh. So, it's only a dream.." I whispered and let out a deep breath. "Nasaan tayo?"

"La Union!" sabi niya nang tuwang-tuwa. "We're going to spend the rest of our weekend here."

"Pero..."

"Don't worry, ipinaalam na kita sa Mommy at Daddy mo." and if that so, I'm all right pero may isa pa akong problema, hindi ako sanay mag-overnight sa ibang lugar dahil madami akong ritwal bago matulog, madami pa akong kailangan ipahid sa katawan ko dahil lapitin ako ng lamok at sensitive ang balat ko at wala dito ang mga gamit ko.

"Pero..."

"I got all the things you'll need, and your Mom packed up some clothes for you." Mukhang pinaghandaan niya itong trip na'to. "And this is the reason why I have the widest smile you saw back in the class."

Tameme lang ako habang nagsasalita siya. Amazed siguro dahil it seemed this trip is smoothly planned at all.

"Pero..." Iniisip ko pa rin, edi nagkita or nag-usap na sila ni Mama? Edi paano ako magpapaliwanag niyan?! Aish~!

"Ano, may problema pa ba?" umiling na lang ako, ayaw kong mamroblema pa siya ngayon. We are in our weekend getaway so I'm just going to enjoy this.

We had dinner at one of the Chinese restaurant, we ordered our food for like forty minutes ago pero wala pa rin silang sineserve sa amin.

"Nagturo-turo na lang sana tayo." sabi ko dahil kanina ko pa ramdam ang gutom ko, nakakalimutan ko lang dahil inaaliw ako ni Miguel. "Hindi ka pa naman nagbabayad, 'di ba? Tara na!"

"Seryoso ka?" tumango lang ako. "Okay, mauna kang lumabas tapos susunod ako after three seconds. Bilisan mo ha."

"Okay." I composed myself and walked out confidently to that poor service restaurant. Natatakam pa naman ako sa mga in-order namin. After three seconds, nakita ko na rin siyang palabas.

Nagdrive ulit siya para maghanap ng makakainan at matutuluyan na rin.

"Gutom na talaga ako, wala ka pa bang nakikita?" reklamo ko na.

"May oatmeal cookie yata ako d'yan sa bag ko, yun na lang muna kainin mo." kinuha ko yung bag niya sa likod at hinanap ko yung sinasabi niyang pagkain and I'm glad that I found it. Dalawang piraso yun kaya ibinigay ko sa kanya yung isa.

"Thank you." he held my hand that gave him the cookie and gave it a soft kiss that gave me chills over my body.

"Alam mo, these are the moments I want to remember for my whole life, to be with you not just today but for ever. I like you so much that I think it is becoming love."

"I feel and thinking the same way, my Gayle..." he never let go of my hand, instead he held it tighter. "So that's the reason behind the status I busted from your friends, the words they shouted at the hall that made you uneasy and just ran?" 

Hindi ako sumagot, bagkus ay lumapit lang ako sa kanya at isinandal ang ulo ko sa balikat niya habang kami pa rin ay magkahawak-kamay.

Nabusted pala sa kanila! Sa kanila galing bakit hindi lang nila kinuwento o sinabi sa akin nung nagtanong ako?! Hhrrgh! I hate them keeping secrets or even stories from me, I'm their friend, right? Worse thing, I'm their best friend! Hrgh~!!
