How about this, you tell me yours and I'll tell you mine. - Bruno Mars
"Non-fat soy latte, slight amount of whipped cream." I put the drink in front of Bridgette and rubbed my slight sleep deprived eyes and put on the damn best smile I possibly could on four hours of sleep.
"Why, thank you darling. I don't remember asking you to get this for me...?" Bridgette cast her doubtful eyes over me and I continued smiling at her.
"Just thought I'd get one so you'll be in the in best position for the interview soon." My mouth was kind of aching from this smile but I wasn't going to give in.
"That's incredibly...nice of you, Tina"
"Anything else you need for the interview?" I asked wanting to get it all out of the way so I could observe this interview for a long as I could before Bruno Mars ended up asking for things that I'd ultimately have to get him.
"Not that I can think of...but you'll be at hand if anything is needed." Bridgette smiled her fake smile. In other words she was basically screaming YOU'RE AN ASSISTANT.
"Of course." Another forced smile on my face as I went to the chair at the back of her open office. I redid the makeshift ponytail I had done hours ago between doing errands and drinking copious amounts of coffee to ensure I stayed awake. I knew I looked like a mess but I felt so tired right now I didn't care.
"Bridgette." Her intercom rang and she pressed the button to answer.
"What?" She demanded.
"...Bruno Mars just arrived; we're sending him to you" I recognised that scared voice as Collette, she was a temp receptionist here.
"Oh" Bridgette faltered for a second before she sat straighter in her seat. I took my notepad and pen readying myself to take notes and learn. Bridgette did have a job here, she must have some talents.
"Proceed" She said into the intercom in a fake happy tone. She ran her hand through her stick straight blonde hair a few times and I had to admit it made me feel more self conscious than I had earlier. Bridgette looked so put together whereas I looked like I've ran a marathon with my messed up hair, my wrists hurt from the drinks I was making last night. I should be in bed, but today was an opportunity that I couldn't pass up no matter what my body state showed.
There was a knock on the door, we both looked to the slightly ajar door, which revealed Collette and behind her was the infamous Bruno Mars.
Now, this wasn't the first time I've seen him, I do own a television and have eyes. He's been on billboards all over the city, he's on music channels countless times, but I haven't properly paid attention to him in the past like I needed to today.
Raye and was right about him, he was easy on the eyes. He had these deep brown eyes, tan skin – not sun violated like mine and Bridgette but natural. He had on just a plain white shirt and a pair of denim jeans, it was baking outside anyway. He had a pair of sunglasses on the top of his shirt, were they ray bans?
Well he could afford it, and he had a baseball cap on top of his head but underneath you could see an array of tight curls. Wow, I did not know he had hair like that...
"Bruno Mars. Bridgette Atkinson." Bridgette voice brought me out of my haze. She stood up from her seat and I wondered whether I needed to do the same. I decided to remain seated and watch their interaction. Bruno smiled as he looked at Bridgette with these bright white teeth. Like Simon Cowell worthy teeth. "Big fan. Thank you, you can go now Collette"
