"Friends, huh? ....the great kind?" - Bruno Mars

This was goodbye, really. Maybe...I don't know.

This was different to the last time we said goodbye, my friends were now friends with his friends, I was friends with his friends. Raye was kind of seeing his band mate - Brian, I was Phil's grasshopper, and they all loved Kendra from last time... It's all so messed up.

It's been three weeks since I last saw him and frankly I've used every excuse in the book not to hang out with all the guys at the studio or hang out during dinner, everything.

Either they were pretty gullible or they knew I was avoiding them entirely, even the girls were asking why I didn't want to come to the studio with them.

I had been picking up shifts at work to keep my mind off things, I've actually been allowed to help Analiese proof read some of the lesser articles, but hey, that's something, and if it makes Bridgette have a bitch fit when I can't buy her a latte than that's the cherry on the double layer cake. I've been working more nights at the bar, so I've got a little cash saved up, but most of the time Fara, Kenneth and Trevor have been keeping me company here.

"Jheeze, Tina, it's like you live here" Trevor sat down on a stool in front of me at the bar. "Your home hasn't been repossessed, has it?"

"Nope, I just love it here too much" I smiled, at least I can talk to Trevor while Fara and Kenneth suck face. "And...I'm secretly turning into a drink snob, how can I refer myself as a mixologist to someone earlier tonight?" I laugh.

"Yeah...make yourself sound more official than you actually are."

"Precisely" I placed his usual drink in front of him "...hey...so I had this idea a few days ago..."

"Why do I feel like this is gonna be a mistake?" Trevor joked taking a sip of his drink yet still nodded. "Go on."

"We should all go on vacation together!" I say and do jazz hands for effectiveness...it wasn't that effective. "Nothing fancy...we can't afford that, but still maybe go San Diego"

"I've never been San Diego..." Trevor says.

"Is that a yes?" I ask hopefully, it would be nice to get out of this place if only for a weekend.

"I'm game if you are, and we can get Fara, Kenneth and everyone to come"

"Definitely, oh this is so exciting!"

"What's exciting?" Fara walked up to my bar sans Kenneth...that's weird they're usually attached at the hip. Actually looking closely something looked off with Fara. She looked...worried.

"Tina here has had this little idea that we should all go San Diego" Trevor filled her in but she didn't seem to be listening, just looking at me with urgency. I didn't like that look at all.

"What's up–" I start to ask before getting interrupted.

"–what's this I hear about San Diego?" Kendra suddenly is in front of me. I didn't even know she was planning on coming tonight. Last I heard she was hanging out with our new 'friends' tonight.

"San Diego, ya dig?" Trevor filled her in.

"Hell yeah! It's about time I got out of this shithole even if it's for a few days" She took the words out of my mouth. I heard a bit of a commotion, not like it was uncommon in this line of work but this made me on edge, I really should have worked this out sooner.
