Valentine's Day Special

Here's a late Valentine's Day one shot :3

"Sean, come here! I have a surprise for you!" Mark yelled up the stairs at his still sleeping boyfriend. Sean raised his head and rubbed his eyes.

"Noooo..." Sean whined. Mark marched up the stairs, making sure he made as much noise as a person could, and shook Sean awake.

"Okay, I'm up, I'm up." Sean pushed Mark's hands away and sat up, sleep still in his eyes.

"You got eye boogers." Mark told him, pointing at Sean's eyes. Sean rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. What's this surprise?" Sean asked as he stood up out of bed, rubbing his eyes once more.

"I can't tell you what the surprise is! Then it won't be a surprise!" Mark giggled. Sean looked up at Mark with puppy dog eyes.

"Pweeeeease?" Mark refused to tell him. Sean huffed and pushed past him, stomping downstairs like a child who had just been sent to their room.

"Just eat breakfast and get dressed. Theeeen I'll show you." Mark told him, jogging down the stairs after Sean.

Mark put a blindfold on over his boyfriend's eyes, making sure he couldn't see anything.

"Mark, it's dark in here..." Sean whined. Mark chuckled.

"Sh, it's fine. I'll make sure you don't stub your crotch on a table." Sean cringed.

"I trust you, so I swear to god if you let me run into something, I'll kill you." Sean said, laughing after.

Mark laughed as well, leading Sean into Mark's car. He sat Sean down and patted his head like a child as he shut the door. Mark got in himself and shut the door, turning the car on.

When Mark reached his hand over to put the car in reverse, Sean's hand had beat him to it. Mark looked up at his boyfriend to see a large smile. Mark chuckled.

"Move your hand, ya goof." Sean shook his head.

"Nu uh!"

"Fine." Mark switched gears and grabbed Sean's hand, putting it in his lap and squeezing it.

Mark led Sean out of the car, holding his hand as he did.

"You can take the blindfold off now, babe." Mark told Sean. He took the blindfold off of his eyes, scanning the area.

They were standing in the middle of the parking lot of the California Space Museum.

Mark looked down at his shoes and began to mess with the hem of his hoodie.

"Sorry if you didn't want to come here for Valentine's Day, but it was the first thing to come to mind..." Mark sighed. Sean caressed Mark's chin and stood on tiptoes to kiss him.

"I love it. Now let's go see some way cool space-ness." Sean gave a warm smile and grabbed Mark's hand. Mark gently rubbed his partners hand as they walked inside the museum.

"Mark, look!" Sean waved Mark over in the empty galaxy room. He pointed up at the ceiling to a gas giant.

The makeshift stars glittered as they moved around the empty space, covering the floor and walls.

"Look, it's Jupiter! Isn't that your favorite planet?" Mark shook his head as he put an arm around Sean.

"I don't have a favorite. They're all awesome. Because space is so cool." Sean chuckled and leaned against the wall.

"Space is pretty neat." Mark nodded.

"Hey, I need to ask you something."

"Mark, you can ask me anything." Mark took a deep breath.

"I came out here with you tonight with so much confidence. So much confidence to ask you about this one thing." Sean looked at Mark, his eyes shimmering in the dim light of the room.

"I know I'm an idiot and can be stupid sometimes, and I don't exactly know how to say this, but-" Sean's watch buzzed 11:55 PM. Mark stooped to one knee and pulled a small red velvet box out of his pocket. Sean threw his hands over his mouth, tears brimming.

"Sean McLoughlin, will you make me the happiest man on Earth and marry me?" Sean frantically nodded, tears spilling and falling slowly down his face.

"Yes, yes, a million times yes!" Mark stood up, smiling ear to ear as he slipped the ring onto his fiancé's finger. Sean threw himself onto Mark so quickly, the two fell backwards and onto the floor.

They both starting laughing as Sean sprinkled kisses here and there on Mark's face.

"I love you, so much, Mark."

"I love you too, baby boy."
