I walked behind Jeff as we strolled through they woods. It was peaceful in there, there was no traffic noise. Just the chirping of birds. Soon we came up across a clearing. In the middle of it there was a huge mansion. It had many brick walls paired up with wood walls and windows. Some windows were there and some weren't. A red and black husky came running out. Jeff smiled.

" Smile Dog!" He knelt down and the dog actually smiled and licked his face, " I missed you too buddy."

" Aw, he's so cute!" I walked over to Jeff and Smile Dog ran around me, sniffing me. He barked and jumped on me,knocking me down, and licked my face. I couldn't help but laugh. Smile Dog was so endearing.I mean, c'mon, who's not going to love a smiling dog?

" I think he likes you." Jeff rubbed behind Smile"s ear. I sat up and Jeff helped me stand up. Smile ran around us, barking.  Masky and Slender walked into the mansion while Jeff, Ben, Smile, and I just ran around the yard. I was already feeling at home in the secluded spot in the middle of no where. Laughing, we sat down on the sagging porch in front of the main entrance. I breathed in the smell of damp wood and fresh cut grass.

" So, What are we going to do now? I could run inside and get a bone that we could throw for Smile to catch." Ben suggested. Smile began to wag his tail harder at the word bone. I stifled giggles. Ben rushed inside and a few minutes later came out with a bone. He handed it to Jeff who waved it in front of Smile, enticing the dog, then he threw it halfway across the yard. Smile raced toward the bone, but stopped three quarters away and growled. His hair bristled, and the growl got louder. Following the dog's gaze what I saw almost made my knees quake with fear.

There was a girl, 15 or 16 years old, with black hair and  white skin, wearing a short ( way to short for my taste) black dress. Behind her were two Black-Eyed demons. But that wasn't even the scariest part, she had black eyes too. I backed up until I hit the edge of the porch. Jeff and Ben did the same, Jeff holding onto Smile's collar. I looked up at his face, his eyes were even bigger and full of fear. I looked down at Ben, the poor kid clung to me for protection, an equally fearful expression on his face.

" Jane." Jeff whispered to no one in particular.

" No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no." Ben murmured into my sweatshirt. Smile continued to growl, and I just stood there in silence, my eyes transfixed on Jane. She began to get closer, taking two or three steps in a second. The look on her face was pure anger. Ben began to whimper and I pulled him behind me. Jeff seemed, well, scared out of his mind. And so was I.

" Why hello, Jeff." Jane spit venom into his name, nearly making me cringe, " Ben." Then she shifted her gaze to me, " I don't believe we have met. Who are you?" I took a deep breath and mustered up all my courage before answering.

" My name is Crook and you, blacked-eyed kid, can leave me and my friends alone!" I was surprised I could say that, everyone else was too. Jane glared at me, I glared back.

" What's a black-eyed kid?" Ben looked up at me.

" It's a kid, but it's evil, and has black eyes." I explained teacher like. Jane stared at us with a look of complete hatred. I glanced at the door, it was about  three feet away. Would we have time? Could we make a run for it?

" What do want, Jane?" Jeff growled. I hadn't heard that voice before and jumped when he spoke. I also kinda forgot he was there.

" What I always want." She hissed, much in the same manner Jeff had spoken. But somehow Jane made it even more terrifying. I glanced at the door again. I hoped that Slender or Masky would open it so we could dash inside. I was ready to just curl up under a rock at this point. I shivered.

" Go away." Ben said, still clinging to me. I never really noticed how short he was until then. Only about up to my waist. I'm only 4"11, so it made him look like a little child in a Link costume. And I knew compared to Jeff, the both of us were supremely short. It was weird how I can think of totally ( okay not TOTALLY but close to that) normal things while the most terrifying person I've ever met was standing less than four feet away. I was interrupted from my deep thinking by the creak of the door opening. I looked with a hopeful expression, it was Slender. Jeff sighed with relief and Ben loosened his grip.

" Jane, leave now." Slender said with a commanding tone in his voice. Jane huffed and walked away, turning one more time to glare at us before she disappeared into the foliage, " Are you okay?" Jeff and Ben nodded while I stared into the place where Jane had disappeared. Jeff placed a hand on my shoulder and motioned for me to come inside. I felt safer when I was with him for some reason. The thought that I had a crush on Jeff was more than ever clear. I walked into the mansion and almost instantly was tackled by Ben. For a little dude he was strong.

" Link attack!" Ben grinned and helped me back up.

" Ben, seriously. She barely got through the door." Jeff rolled his eyes, but was trying to stifle little giggles that came in between words. I looked about the room. There was a couch in front of a small T.V. In the next room I could see a table and  chairs. A little girl covered in dirt and blood came up to Jeff and threw her arms around his leg.

" Jeffy! Your back!" She squealed.

" Hey Sally. I have someone I want you to meet, k?" He came over to me, " Sally this is Crook. Crook this is Sally." Sally gave me a big hug.

" It's nice to meet you Sally." I said.

" Nice to meet you too." She smiled and I smiled back. She was sweet. She reminded me of my brother, if he was a girl.  Ben and Masky began to play a video game on the X-Box, Batman maybe?

I thought of our short encounter with Jane. How did she know Jeff and why does she hate him? To me, there was nothing to hate him for.  I just didn't see it. Jane may be able to scare the wits out of everyone, but she will not harm them. Not while I'm around. Sally was talking to Jeff, figuring out why he was gone for so long. Smiling, I sat down on the couch and watch Ben and Masky play Batman. My eye lids began to feel heavy and the next thing I knew I was in a dream.

I was standing on a platform above a pit of blackness and was surrounded in a thick mist. There was Jeff, Ben, Masky, and Slender. A figure came out of the mist, Jane. She had a gun. I felt myself running towards her. There was a shot, and I half expected to feel a bullet ripping through me. Instead, I quickly turned around to see Jane pushing Jeff over the edge. I ran and grabbed hold of his hand. I woke up still on the couch. Great, now Jane's in my dreams. Just what I need. Jeff was also asleep next to me, a mask on his head. I smirked, then slowly fell back asleep.
