Hello peoples! Yeah real 'cliffhanger' there. Enjoy!

Fire shot up and burnt the arrow to a crisp right before it hit me. One of the black eyes kids raised the crossbow again. I used the gold from the floor and formed it into spikes. The spikes shot up through the floor. They pinned the black eyes kid to the wall. For good measure I made one go towards his throat going one millimeter closer every two seconds. I shot a blast of fire at the other, knocking the crossbow out of their hands. Gold walls blocked any paths the other tried to run. I made a huge wall of it, pushing it forward. Soon the other was pressed up against the balcony door. They shattered as I pressed the wall onward. Now the balcony didn't have a railing. I heard people running in.

"Crook don't do it!" Clockwork shouted. I didn't want to stop, but I did.

"What are you doing here?" I thought. Clockwork ran over to the black eyed kid pinned to the wall. I'd realized that he'd been pointing his crossbow right at my heart. She raised his arm just as he'd fired. The arrow went whizzing through the air. It shattered the small gold thread that held the chandelier. I ran out from under it before it exploded on the ground. The impact hurtled me forward, then everything went black.

I woke up with ringing in my ears. After a few moments my eyes adjusted to the sudden darkness. I was lying down on a cot, covered by a blanket. There was a small window. I could see a faint glow from the outside. Scrambling out of the cot I went towards the window. A few feet before I reached it I was stopped. There were two chains, one on each wrist, keeping me from reaching the window. I reached up on my tippy toes to see the outside. I could see little flicks of fire on the edge of the forest.

"Oh no....what have I done?" I whispered to myself. The door opened and Clockwork slipped in, "Why did you bring me here?"

"I couldn't let them kill you." She answered coolly.

"But why. Get Jeff." I peeked out the window again.

"Jeff hasn't returned. And neither has Ben or Masky. I have no idea where Toby went but as far as I know he's with them." Clockwork looked a little angry, "They have not been located. For the time being we have to keep you here."

"But I'm a danger to everybody. You have to get me away from here!" I pleaded.

"Please, just stop this fire. And then you can go back to your palace."

"Don't you see? I can't. I don't know how." I closed my eyes as a tear streaked down my cheek, "Please, no one is safe as long as I'm here."

"I'll see what I can do." Clockwork said. Then she left. The char began to coat the cuffs on my wrists.

"No, no no no no! Don't do this!" I shook my hands trying to get it to stop spreading but that only made it spread faster. Soon the inside began to turn pink, then red, then orange. One thought dominated my mind.

Where was Jeff?

hey sorry for the short chapter but it's late and I'm tired and yeah. The next chapter will be longer. I am admittedly a bit obsessed with the Observer at the moment but it can't be helped.

Anyway,

Peace, Love, and LET IT GO!!!!,

Soph.
