Crook pulled Toby aside just before she left.

"Hey I just want to thank you for helping me figure out how to teleport." She whispered.

"No problem. Just make sure Masky doesn't see." Toby placed his hand on her shoulder. Crook nodded before she turned and left for Rosswood.

As she walked she thought of what she would say to her brother once they were face to face again. Most likely telling him would upset the carefully balanced relationship he had with Jane. Matt didn't believe in killing people yet that's mostly what Jane did. But she guessed that to save someone that he loved Matt would do just about everything.

Meanwhile at Rosswood Masky was trying hard not to completely freak out. He had absolutely no idea why Matt had dragged him out here but he had a sinking feeling it was to kill him. Normally that's what happens with kidnapping situations right?

After about twenty minutes of just standing there with Matt's icy hand on his shoulder Masky thought he saw someone emerge from the woods. At first he thought it was Alex but the figure was too small. It was Crook. She had a small bag slung over her shoulder.

Her boots clicked on the concrete as she got closer. Matt roughly pushed Masky forward. Crook embraced him, whispering in his ear.

" When I say run, run. "

Masky hid behind Crook, eyeing the edge of the woods nervously. He knew Jay was in there waiting for the opportunity to grab Crook. She knew where Alex was, Jay didn't. And boy did he want to know!

"You can take your little buddy with you once you give me what I came for. " Matt sneered. Crook snorted.

"What do you need the serum for, Matt? You want to rule the world? Be a Cahill? Want to show Jane your not the pathetic little boy she thinks you are? Look at you! Chasing after a girl who no longer exists!" She snickered as she took out a phone. She texted Hoodie totheark. Matt fumed.

" Jenny's still out there! I've seen her!"

"That just goes to show how naive you are. Take a good look at a girl every once in awhile won't you? Then again, I'm not who I used to be." Crook let loose the ponytail that held up her hair. It tumbled down her shoulders and down her back. Matt gave a gasp of recognition.

" Jenny?" He took a step forward. Crook smirked and took a defensive stance. Little did Matt know she was preparing for a fight, "Is that really you?"

"Tell me, brother, why you need this. " She held out the serum.

" It's part of Operation J. That's all I know." Matt reached out his hand for the serum. Crook swiveled and leveled him with a kick that could fell an elephant.

" Run!" Crook shouted. Masky ran like the wind. If the wind was allowed to be terrified out of his mind. He crashed through branches and the occasional creek here and there. After about half an hour of straight running Masky came across a ditch. It was deep but it would provide a nice hiding place. He noticed it was beginning to rain as he slipped inside. The rain poured down, creating a small river that channeled into the ditch. Masky realized he would have to climb out or get swamped. As he tried climbing the dirt wall, he came sliding back down.

"Crook, Jeff, Hoodie, anybody help! " Masky thought frantically.

" Hang on in there, Hoodie's coming." Crook's voice echoed in his mind. He relaxed knowing at least somebody was coming. With that in his mind, he tried climbing the wall again. This time the soil held long enough for him to get out. Masky gasped for breath. He searched his pockets for his pills but then he remembered Matt taking them. The rain fell harder and the wind blew faster. Masky collapsed in the bushes, his vision spotty.
