Learning About The Treachery.

Okay so I kinda want to focus on a small plot thingy that will probably make you hate me but what the hell I'm a writer. I'm here for your feedback. Oh yeah and remember this is in Masky's pov.

It was just like the dream. Every little detail was like the dream. Right down to the small gold flowers on the ceiling. Ben ran about the hall, looking at everything.

"How did she do this?!?!" He would call out every once in a while. I was about to go back outside when a flicker next to the fountain caught my attention. Toby came running out of the flicker and tackled me down.

"MASKY!!!!" He shouted.

"I'm right here." I frowned.

"You guys have to get back to the mansion!!!!!!" Toby jumped up and began running around randomly.

"Why?"

"Clockwork is working with Jane! Black Eyed Kids have gotten everybody!!! Now they're coming for you guys!!" He shook my shoulders.

"Well we have to warn Jeff and Crook!" Ben began running up the steps. I grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him back.

"No. We have to give them some time." I looked around, "Do you think that we're allowed to explore?"

"I dunno." Toby ticked and twitched as he slumped down at the bottom of the stairs, "Why? Why would she do something like this?" He buried his face in his hands.

"I don't know but what I do know is that Clockwork wouldn't do anything to hurt you. I think she's doing this against her will." Ben sounded pretty grown up.

"What would Jane be holding over Clockwork that would cause her to have the upper hand?" I thought aloud. Suddenly I felt all this built up energy. I looked up the stairs, "What's going on up the-" I fell over, holding my side. Pain filled everywhere in my body. The edges of my vision turned black and fuzzy. I gritted my teeth and curled up in a ball.

"Masky!" Ben and Toby ran over.

"Stay back!" I yelled, "Not here! Not now! No no no no no!" I thought. Green light surrounded me, "St-stay back!"

"No. Last time this happened you had the worst seizure that you've ever had. You need to take the pills." Toby lifted me in his arms and set me on my feet. I searched my pockets for the pills. When I found them I frantically opened the bottle and put two into my mouth. Agonizing seconds went by before the feeling went away. I leaned against Toby as we walked toward the stairs.

"You know what?" Ben frowned, "I'm bored. We need to go up there and see what they're doing!" Before anyone could object Ben raced up the first flight of stairs.

"I guess so." I shrugged.

The first set of stairs was a porch step compared to the second set. They extended way farther and went up higher than any of the other ones. Several others branched off to different doors. I wanted to see them all but I knew I couldn't. We had to warn Jeff and Crook about Clockwork working with Jane.

"You know what would be sad? Death by walking up stairs." Ben giggled.

"Yeah and after saying how much she hates them she did this!" Toby joined in. I rolled my eyes and began ascending the stairs.

I didn't expect to see what I saw when I got up there.

Heyo! I'm not particularly sure what just happened but I just wanted to see how you guys would react. I know I'm evil. But what the fudge evah!! Sorry this is kinda short.

So in the comments give your guesses to what's going on with Masky.......and try to find a pattern.
