I'm listening to the nightcored version of Young by Hollywood Undead. #yolo
I picked up my swords and held them gingerly in my hands. These were the swords that would help me end Jane's plot once and for all. I stared at my deep red eyes in the reflection on the blades. I took the dagger and carved, Ignis Atrum, meaning the fire of the dark in Latin. At least according to google translate. I tucked the swords in my trusty belt, feeling that familiar weight calmed my nerves a bit.
"You ready?" Jeff asked from the doorway.
"Hold on." I quickly out my hair in a two foot long braid, "Woah my hair's long."
"Yeah. To think when we first met your hair was this short." Jeff held his hand to his neck.
"Yeah. And the first thing we did was try to kill each other." I smiled and shook my head.
"But that's how all great relationships turn out." He put his arm around my shoulders. Jeff was still about a foot taller than me but I was getting there. Last time I'd measured (which had been three hours ago.) I'd been 5"3.
"I guess." I smiled back at him.
"It's time we end this." His face turned serious and he nodded. I turned serious and nodded too.
"It's time we end this. No more running, no more hiding." I took a deep breath and walked out with Jeff behind me. Ben and Observer joined us on the porch. Ben had a sword straight out of Legend of Zelda, Observer had a couple of knives varying in size. Jeff had his classic pair of kitchen knives, "Ready?" I looked at my group.
"Ready." They all nodded at the same time.
"Well, off we go." I stepped off the porch onto the grass. Instantly I felt the safety of the mansion leave me. I quieted the fears and doubts and trudged on. A short while later we arrived at Jane's camp. She was near a table with a map spread out across it. The mansion was circles in a bright red marker. I realized we had no definitive way to tell the other groups that we were here.
Jane looked up from the map and stood up. She barked something in German and the black eyed kids all congregated in the center. I motion for us to move forward. We exited the brush and entered the clearing. Apparently all the other groups thought the same exact thing and stepped out of the clearing too. Jane whirled around to face my group and growled.
"Long time no see." I smirked.
"What are you doing here!?" Jane asked angrily.
"You know exactly why we're here." Jeff huffed.
"Fine. I know why your here. Your here to attack me because you figured out that I was going to first." Jane smirked.
"That's pretty much it." I smiled slightly evilly, "But your forgetting something."
"And what's that?" Jane scowled.
"I'm not just here to attack." I pointed my sword at her and made it burst into flames. Jane gave a yell that was barely human and charged at us, aiming mostly for Jeff. I ran in front of her an we were both hurtled to the ground. Around us the black eyed kids started attacking the others. Jane and I were locked in our own world.
One moment I'd be on top of her with my hands on fire and around her throat. The next I'd be hit back and blocking swipes from her knife. A couple of times I wasn't fast enough and was cut deep into the skin. This went on for about twenty minutes. Then I took out my dagger and stabbed Jane in the leg. She grunted and moved backwards.
"That's it I'm done with this! Time for you to die!" She brought out a Glock and pointed it at me. I rushed foreword with the dagger and before I knew it, It was impaled in her chest. Jane coughed up blood and spit it on my shoulder. Then she raised the Glock to the center of my chest.
"I'll see ya in hell then." I grinned my crooked grin.
Then Jane pulled the trigger.
