13. Where is He?

Darlyn was trying to look for Alfonso early, before their first class started. That way she could let him know sooner than later. She kept looking everywhere, but then the bell rang. "Darn it!" she yelled under her breath. ' I guess I'll tell him during lunch.' She kept walking down the hall way, looking left and right, trying to remember every memory from her school. Such as the place where Alfonso had asked her to be his girlfriend, or where they first kissed, where Sophie and her had met each other every morning, and so on and so forth.

It was finally lunch and she still could not find Alfonso. 'I guess he didn't come today.' She headed towards Sophie's table where she was with other friends.

"Hey Darlyn. What happened?"

"Can I talk to you?" Darlyn asks.

"Sure," she stands up with her lunch tray, "Later guys."

"Have you seen Alfonso? I've been looking for him everywhere."

"I actually haven't. So, does that means he still doesn't know about New York?"

"No he doesn't, and I'm worried that if I don't tell him then that he'll find out from someone else."

"But who else knows besides your parents, the judges, you and I. No, not your choir teacher, does she know?" And before Darlyn could answer, the school's speaker  was going off.

"Good day everyone. I'm Mrs. Ledet, the school's choir teacher. I have some exciting news. One of our students has just won the opportunity of a lifetime. Darlyn won the audition for a new show called It Girl and she is extremely thankful for this chance of a lifetime. If you see her today, then congratulate her." Then the speaker went out.

"Whoa, that was close," Darlyn said. Sophie had the 'whataya mean face.' "I mean what if Alfonso was here then he could've heard that?"

"Heard what?" Darlyn heard a voice that sounded a lot like Alfonso. She turned around and it was him.

"Baby where have you been all day?"

"I was at the hospital, my mom was feeling really sick. I was there all night."

"Oh, is she okay now?"

"Yeah, thankfully."

"Good," Darlyn says while hugging him.

"Now, what were you saying? That I would've heard about what?"

"I'll leave you two alone," Sophie says.

"Look, we need to talk."

"Wait, you're not breaking up with me, are you?"

She just pulls him aside to a bench. "It's about my audition." It gets quiet for a while. "Remember when I told you that I had mis-read something when we came back from LA?"

"Yeah, and?"

"Well, I had read that it mentions how I have to move to New York..."

"For how long?"

"3 years..." Alfonso just looks away towards the floor. "Look, I didn't know that this audition was going to create this." He then just gets up and starts walking away. This wasn't the Alfonso that she originally knew. "Alfonso? Alfonso, come back!" Sophie had heard and then ran up to comfort Darlyn. She stood there hugging her, letting her cry on her shoulder.

Alfonso had walked all the way to the other side of the school. He had then sat down on the tree where he usually hanged out with his buddies. Then, another girl named Courtney showed up. "Hey baby, what happened? Did your girlfriend upset you again?" She asks while sitting next to him and giving him a kiss.

"Yeah actually. And big time!"

"Why don't you tell me about it while we head to your house?"

"I already told you, nobody can know about us; especially my mom. She really likes Darlyn so she'll freak out if she sees me with you all of a sudden."

"Don't worry. I'll sneak in through your window like last time..."

"Alright Courtney, but you owe me."

"Don't worry, I will pay you back," she says while leaning in to give him a kiss and smiling.

"Alright,I gotta go back. Before they find us here."

"Okay then, see ya later."

Yeah, so Alfonso has been cheating on Darlyn since she was busy with the audition. The big questions are: Will Darlyn find out soon? Or will Alfonso keep it a secret that he'll end it with Courtney instead? And, will Logan get to be with her at all? All of these will be answered soon :)
