16. It's Time

The next morning, Darlyn texted Logan.

D: Good morning Logan :)

L: Hey Darlyn, what's up?

D: Well, 2day's the day. I'm off to New York

L: That's great. I'll actually be there in a few days. As part of the tour.

D: That's great. Just let me know when you're coming.

L: Why?  So you can come see me live?? ;)

D: Sure, why not? And 2 see the guys too.

L: For sure. I'll even give you VIP passes, lol

D: Ok Thanks

L: Let me know when you're at the airport. Cuz it takes a while to fly from LA to New York.

D: How much?

L: Like around 6 hours.

D: What??? :o

L: But don't worry. It'll be ok

D: Hope so :/

L: It will, I promise :)

D: You're so sweet Logan :) I love you for that

L: I love you too, your talent especially ;)

D: Thanks. Oh, I'm on my way to the airport. My ride is here.

L: Alright, call me when you get there. So I can make sure that you're okay :)

D: I will, bye Logan :)

L: Bye Darlyn

"Good morning babe," Alfonso comes in the house. "Are you sure about this?"

"Yes I'm sure. This is my dream!" Darlyn already looked mad and he had just arrived. "Why do you always doubt on me? Ever since this audition came you haven't been supporting me."

"Yes I have! How about when I went to see you audition and took you to celebrate?"

"Okay, but what about before and after the audition? You said you wished we spend more time together while I prepared. And right now while I'm going to the airport."

Alfonso did not want to cause trouble with her, especially while she's leaving. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry for not supporting you 100%. It's just that I really miss you, and it's gonna hurt me more now that you leave."

"Look, this is MY dream. If it was yours, I'd understand you and be with you every step of the way."

"Okay babe, I'm sorry. Let's not fight and just enjoy our last few moments together."

She had calmed down a bit and looked at him. He had always been there for her so why should she be mad for a few 'mistakes'. "Okay then."

"Let's go." Her parents had left for work already so she wasn't able to see them one last time. Alfonso helped put her luggage in the car and off they went. He tried to improve the atmosphere by turning on the radio. And a sad song was playing.
