65. New Best Friends?

Darlyn walks slowly to the cracked glass wall and looks down. Even though she is terrified of heights, she still looks down at her crazy ex-boyfriend falling down to the hard ground.

A part of her was relieved to be safe again, for now. But another part of her felt bad for all of the physical pain that he had just received.

Right behind her, came Logan walking, with the help of Carlos so that he wouldn't lose his balance. "Hey."

With a few tears in her eyes, she looks her conscious boyfriend. She softly hugs him, in case that his head was hurting. "Thank goodness you're ok."

"No, thank God that you're safe and back in my arms." He hugs her even more. After a few minutes, Darlyn lifts her head up and looks towards Esmeralda.

"Thank you so much for coming to the rescue." Darlyn walks to her and gives her a thankful hug. "You've got some real kick-ass moves!"

"Thanks. I train daily and recently learned that," she proudly tells her. "I said, 'why not test it out? After all, this is an emergency."

"Good thinking. And listen, I'm really sorry for not trusting you and Logan for going to the awards together."

"No need to be sorry about that. I understand the mis-communication between you two."

"Thanks, hope we can become friends." Darlyn smiled, as did Esmeralda.

"You hear that Logan? You're ex and your girlfriend as besties?" James sarcastically said.

Logan looked at James with a 'I know' kind of face.

"There's nothing wrong with that." Kendall said. "I wouldn't mind if Jo and Ariel became best friends. Just like I'm sure that James would not mind if Halston and Peta became besties." Kendall gave a laugh afterwards.

"No way that's gonna happen," James motioned with his hands. "Besides, Halston chose to leave."

"You never know man. You never know," Carlos said, with his arms crossed.

"Don't worry Carlos, I'm sure Alexa won't talk to Sammy ever," Logan said, as he gave him a pat on the back.

 "She won't, especially after we get married," Carlos said with a twinkle in his eye. Marrying Alexa would make Carlos feel like the most blessed man alive.

"Speaking about marriage..." Logan added. He walks towards Darlyn, interrupting her conversation with Esmeralda. "Excuse me, Darlyn, can I ask you a question?"

Esmeralda sarcastically says, "You just did!" She then laughs a bit, along with Darlyn.

Logan looks at both girls and says, "Ha-ha. Anyways, let me finish what I should've said earlier..." He grabbed her left hand, got down on one knee, "Darlyn, I know we just had a scary moment in our lives, but I really mean what I told you earlier at the house... I love you more than anything, I love you more than life itself. So, would you please do me the honor's and marry me?"

All of the guys and Esmeralda said, "Awe," and acted cute. It made Darlyn want to laugh a bit, but instead she blushes and says, "Yes. Logan Phillip Henderson, I accept your marriage proposal." He happily takes the ring out and carefully places it on her finger. He then hugs her all happy and thankful that she's safe.

Not trying to ruin their moment, Kendall still goes on and asks, "Not to sound mean, but why did you reply with such 'unemotional' words?" After receiving poker-faces from everyone, including Logan, he clarified, "What I mean is that you didn't say the typical 'Yes I will marry you' and you..." They wouldn't stop looking at him weird after that. "You know what? Forget I said anything. Congrats to you two lovebirds," Kendall clapped after finishing up his awkward moment.

"Don't worry Kendall, your awkward moment stays between all of us..." She pointed around the room.

"Yeah, okay. Who wants pizza?" Kendall adds.

"I do!" They all yelled.

"Okay. Pizza is on me guys, take it as an early wedding gift," Kendall had his hand on his heart and looked at the happy couple.

"Thanks Kendork." Logan replied.

"Your welcome Logiebear."

"I'd love to join you guys, but it's getting late and I have work in the morning," Esmeralda said to them.

"No problem. We'll be sure to send you an invite." Darlyn told her.

"Thanks, bye everyone."

"Bye." They all went to have pizza at Papa John's. Even though it was almost midnight, they were still able to order a few and take them to Darlyn's house. They stayed up to watch a scary movie, except for Darlyn who was sore and tired from what happened earlier... 

Logan joined her in bed halfway through the movie. He quietly opened the door, took off his shirt and pants and was only left in his boxers. He went under the blanket and carefully put his arms around her. He saw her  left hand on her side and then intertwined his hand with hers.

This long day may have been fun with the concert, magical for the two engagements, and scary for the crazy-minded ex of hers, but Logan still felt like this day could not have been any better. He smiled in his sleep, dreaming of the day that he would call Darlyn his wife...

Hello everyone! Just so you're not confused, chapters 52-65 all occurred on the same day. I know, I probably should've divided it up even more. But oh well, that's what this author right here (pointing at myself ;) happened to write :P Anyways, I have to find a way to finish the story.
