Miranda POV
I waited for Lacey to get changed before running to the kitchen counter. I had written a time and date on the post it note when I was supposed to pick up my stuff from Blake.I was supposed to go pick up my stuff in a week. I didn't know if I was ready, but hopefully I would be.
Lacey came running down the stairs and I grabbed my keys. We had held off releasing Platinum with everything that had happened. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with that extra time.
We drove downtown and looked at all of the shops. Lacey picked out some cute dresses and some cowboy boots and I found a cute little red dress.
We were stopped at a red light when I turned to Lacey. "I'm planning on going back and seeing my mom for a few days before I have to pick up my things from Blake's and you're coming with me." I grinned.
Lacey smiled brightly at me. "Awesome! I'd love that!" I drove forward before parking in a parking lot.
We shopped around a bit more before walking over to a little pizza place. Not too many people bothered me.
We sat down in the booth and Lacey ordered a cheese pizza. "This is nice. Thanks, mom!" Lacey grinned. "Of course sweetie." I replied, looking over the drink menu.
"Can I get a coke too?" I asked the waiter as he brought out the pizza. "Sure! An actual Coke or another soft drink? I know you're from Texas." He laughed.
"I'll take a Dr. Pepper." I replied. We said grace and began to eat. All of a sudden, someone busted into the door. I looked up, not expecting to see who I did.
