Lacey POV
I finished my doughnut and looked at Miranda, she gave me a big smile."Okay, so I have a surprise for Lacey before y'all go. I know that y'all have an interview soon." Miranda said. I couldn't think what surprise she could possibly give me now!
Blake, who I didn't realize left the room, came back in. He was carrying a beautiful, blue acoustic guitar. It was a Taylor that was a custom build.
On the fret board, it had "Lacey Loo." I smiled. "What!?!?" I yelled, realizing it said my name! Miranda and Kimberly laughed at me.
Blake gently handed it to me and I smiled. I gently strummed the strings and smiled at the beautiful sound. It was a really loud guitar!
The Band Perry stayed for a little while and Kimberly showed me some chords. I practiced them over and over until my fingers almost bled.
The Band Perry left and it was just me, Miranda and Blake. "So, this is my last day in town." Blake said with a sad smile.
"Okay. I'll just be in the guest room then." I said. Miranda laughed at my comment. "Thank you so much for the guitar. I will repay you for it." I promised, even if I had to sell everything else I owned.
"No. It's a gift. You don't have to pay us anything." Miranda assured me. "Are you sure?" I asked, narrowing my eyes. "Cross my heart." Miranda said, forming a cross over her heart with her finger.
I sighed. "Okay." "Hey, I think the mail might be here, do ya wanna check if he's replied yet?" Miranda asked with a smile. Blake just looked really confused.
I set my guitar in my room and walked outside. The mailbox was a good hike down the road, but it was fun to walk down. I had gotten the mail the day before for them.
I looked at all of the trees and the dirt road beneath my feet and smiled. I was so lucky, even if this was only for a little while. I finally reached the pistol shaped mailbox and opened it.
There was a giant stack of mail. I held it in both of my arms and started the way back. I knew that Miranda and Blake probably wanted some alone time, so I walked toward the big oak tree in the front and sat under it.
I looked through magazines and other things until I reached one gold envelope on the bottom. It was addressed to me!
I opened it and saw gentle, fancy cursive writing. I knew right away who it was from.
