Lacey POV
After the fight, things went a lot smoother.Blake was only staying for three days before he had to go back and film The Voice.
I awoke with a start. I was still nervous and jumpy around people. I got changed in whatever Miranda had set out and went into the kitchen.
Miranda was up reading a magazine. She turned and looked at me over the pages. "Morning Lacey Loo." She smiled.
"Morning." I smiled back. "I can make you some coffee if you drink that." It had only been a day since I had been taken in by them.
"I'll just take some milk." I said, walking over to the fridge. The other morning we had gone out for breakfast, so today was different.
"Okay. Glasses are in the cabinets next to the fridge." She told me without looking up. "Thanks." I replied, reaching for one.
I poured myself some milk and walked over to the couch, facing Miranda. "Blake went to get us breakfast." Miranda said, putting down her magazine.
"Okay. Does he like me?" I blurted out before blushing. Miranda broke into a smile. "I really think he does. He was just caught off guard at first, that's all!" I smiled at her.
"Okay. Good." I smiled. I heard a knock at the front door. "Oh! I forgot to tell you, I scheduled a writing session this morning. You're welcome to join, I'm sure they won't mind!" I nodded and couldn't help think of who she could be talking about.
I sat in my chair, relieved that I had gotten changed earlier. I finished my milk and put the cup into the dishwasher.
I heard footsteps and turned around. In strolled a confused looking Neil Perry! My jaw almost hit the floor. "You're Neil Perry!" I said, surprised.
"And you're a random girl in Miranda Lambert's house...Uh...Miranda... I didn't know you had a daughter!" Neil said. "Neil! Be polite. At least say hello first!" I heard Kimberly's voice from behind Neil. I giggled at her comment.
Kimberly and Reid walked in after Neil. "Hello, I'm Lacey." I said quietly. I was so shocked that The Band Perry had just come into the house!
"Hey, Lacey. Reid, Neil, and Kimberly." Reid said with a smile. I smiled at all of them. Miranda came and stood next to me. "This is Lacey. She's staying with us for a while; I met her in downtown Nash." Miranda told them. They all nodded.
"Okay! Why don't we go onto the porch? It's not very hot. Blake's bringing doughnuts if y'all want any!" Miranda said. Kimberly smiled, "Yes please!"
We all laughed. They all walked onto the porch and I stood there, feeling like a lost puppy. "Hey! Lacey! You coming?" Kimberly called to me.
I smiled brightly and walked onto the back porch. "I wasn't sure if I was invited or not." I said, honestly. "Of course you're invited!" Neil said, looking surprised I even had to ask. Maybe I've found somewhere I finally fit in?
I blushed and sat on the porch; we formed a ring on the deck. Reid had his bass, Kimberly her guitar, and Neil his mandolin. Miranda had her pink acoustic guitar.
"Do you have a guitar?" Kimberly asked me. To my surprise and everyone else's surprise, I burst into tears. I got up and ran inside to the bathroom.
