ENZO

THE CONFESSION

In the night start, Vær finally came home. The first thing she had done, it was to come through the front door and then closed it. After that, she threw her books on the living room couch. And in the meantime, I approached her with a purpose that was fixed in my mind since Vaer had left home to go to do school work in the house of such human.

Even without understanding anything, the princess pressed her forehead, looking at my image before her. I held the tip of her chin and began to critically examine her face, her ears and at last her lips.

Soon I was sure that they were the same away. Everything was intact.

"What are you doing?"

I removed my hand from his countenance and answered.

"I was checking if everything is 'ok' with you."

She shook her head, looking indignant.

"Have you thought Wendel did me any harm?"

"Everything is possible." I turned my back and put my hands on my hips. "Everything is permissible here on Earth."

I turned around again and put my forefinger in the direction of my lips as I looked at her and I declared.

"Don't forget that I am your guardian and I am here just to protect you."

After that, Vær sat on the couch and looked thoughtful for some instants. I looked at her, resting my hands on my hips.

"How was there?"

"Everything ran well."

She responded quickly. But I felt she was very strange. Vær seemed stunned by something. Her school work could not leave her so tormented that way. There was something very, moreover, that made her look at nothing and forget even my presence there in the middle of the living room. Before long, I sat on the couch arm and stood beside her.

"Tell me what really happened there."

She looked at me from the corner of the eye, making a shocked face.

"Do you want me to narrate all the details of what happened at Wendel's house?"

I crossed my arms on my chest and seemed logical as possible.

"If this is possible, yes, I do."

She shook her head and rose rapidly from the couch, tried to walk toward her bedroom while muttering in a voice that still came much clear to my ears.

"But I'm not doing it even! You're starting to invade my privacy!"

The princess kept walking forward, but I made her paralyze in the same time with my invisible power. Vær got silent while I gave a jump in height and stopped in front of her. She could not even move in front or to the sides, so I could dominate the situation and especially the conversation.

"If you want to hide the facts from me, it is a sign that something abnormal happened there." I inclined my face and looked into hers. "And that worries me a lot, Vær."

She tried to move her arms and legs but felt them stuck by something she could not see but just to feel.

"Stop it, Enzo! That's extortion! I will not say anything you while you keep me stuck that way!"

"Great!" turned my back and threatened to walk toward her room. "Then you will stay the entire night stopped in the same place, until you finally decide to tell me everything that happened in the house of that such W-e-n-d-e-l."

Vær sighed, seeing that I was not kidding. I was really disposed to leave her there, planted like a tree submissive to its roots attached to the ground.

"It's all right" Finally, she agreed, looking down. "Let me free, please, and I'll tell you everything."

After her affirmations, I came back and stood before her. I aimed at her with suspicion, but I imagined that Vær gave me her word and she would carry it out without my need to gag her with my invisible power again.

"You are a good little vampire," I said sarcastically, looking at her face. "I like when you behave well before me."

During that, I snapped my fingers and Vær felt free again. She looked at her body and then moved to one side, trying to sit on the couch for the second time.

"What do you want to know?"

Before everything, I pulled a chair and sat facing her.

"All."

Her eyes widened in my direction.

"All? Do you want me to narrate it from the moment I knocked on the front door, entered the house and up to the last instant I said goodbye to Wendel and finally left his house?"

I scratched my nape.

"I think you could skip these parts." I stared at her. "I'd rather you tell me the most abnormal situations for you."

"OK." she agreed and I crossed my arms after my back touched the seat frame behind me. Vær looked down and began to narrate with a fearful voice. "We were talking about our school work and suddenly I felt the urge to hide in the bathroom."

He frowned and she continued narrating.

"I needed to stay there for a while and then Wendel knocked on the bathroom door and then handed me a toilet paper roll."

I shook my head and after started laughing to one side. Vær felt irritated with it. The princess wondered that she had told me that just to extract my laughter. Soon she felt like an idiot.

"Why are you laughing that way?"

I tried to get serious again and ended up laughing through my fingers close to my lips.

"You lock yourself in the bathroom and the human offers you toilet paper?"

I vibrated my head, looking annoyed at that.

"Do you see how the humans will never know how to take care of you?" I stared at her. "If I were in his place, I would force the bathroom door to make sure that all was well with you."

She rolled her eyes.

"I would hate to know that you broke open the toilet door during my presence there. That would only make things worse."

I hit my hand on her knee while smiling at her.

"I'm just kidding. I would approach the door and ask you if everything was okay with you."

We stared at each other for a brief moment and then Vær put a lock of her hair behind her ears, she still seemed stuck with something.

"But I ran to the bathroom after I felt strange in his presence."

She lifted her head, stared into my eyes and then my lips below my nose. It made her remember something very important.

"I felt attracted by his lips."

After this confession, I closed my eyes and scratched her with a tempestuous look.

"I think I was scared because deep down I wanted him to kiss me on the lips."

I just sighed and rose from my chair. I looked in the direction of Vær and gave her a necessary warning.

"Slow down. Vær." I kept saying. "The humans can hurt you. They are not trustworthy people."

After that, my body turned into a black bird and flew towards the living room open window, Thereby leaving the site.
