Josh's POV:I have come to Philadelphia to help my parents and Mr Feeny pack ready for them moving to New York. I have decided to spend some time with Mr Feeny because I could do with some advice, I am nearly halfway through my time at NYU and I still have no idea what I want to do with my life. I think he'll be able to help.
"Mr Matthews, am I right in believing that there is something troubling you?" Mr Feeny asks, as though he'd read my mind, gesturing for me to stop what I am doing to sit with him. I do so.
"You're right Mr Feeny."
"Well then go on, explains what it is that's troubling you. It doesn't have anything to do with Miss Hart does it?"
"No. No, Maya is great, I miss her actually, I only saw her yesterday, but she is home alone, Shawn is away on business, and Cory, Topanga, Auggie and Ava have gone to Staten Island until tonight, so I'm worried about her. But that isn't what's really wrong."
"Oh I see."
"Mr Feeny, I'm almost half way through my time at NYU and I still don't know what I want to do for the rest of my life."
"Ah yes. Your not the only one who feels this way you know. But I can try and help you."
"Thank you, Sir."
"So, what do you like to do, you're interests, you know?"
"I like cars, in fact I like designing cars, especially on the computer. Well any graphic design really..." I trail off realising that that was it.
"I think you've found the answer, don't you?"
"Yes. Graphic designer, Car designer. Yeah. Thank you Mr Feeny."
"You're very welcome Josh, although I don't think I did anything. Now tell me more about this wedding of yours."
"Of course! We are having the ceremony at Topanga's bakery, and then a beach party. We're not going on a honeymoon though, we have school and we can't afford it either. I've decided that Auggie will be my best man, and Thomas as the Page Boy, and my brothers, dad and Lucas as groomsmen. Maya has Riley as maid of honour, of course. And God, she'll be the most beautiful bride. Her hair, eyes, everything, I just love her so much. Nobody is more excited to get married than I am. I can't wait for her to officially be mine. You know?"
He nods, he knows.
"I'm sorry I am rambling on about Maya. There was something we wanted to ask you though, we wanted you to be a groomsman and sit in the front row, with Mom and Dad, is that okay?"
"Joshua, I'd be honoured."
"That's great news! Wait until I tell Maya! Honestly Mr Feeny, this'll mean so much to me you've been so good to me, I-" I am cut off by my parents rushing out to their garden, opposite us. They have a ghostly white look on their face. Something's wrong. My heart drops.
"It's-its Maya." My mom stutters my heart stops. I can't breathe. The tears are already forming.
"Wh-wha-what happened?"
"She's being rushed to hospital. Wh-when Riley found her- she was out cold. She had a head injury." She explains, shakily.
I run my hands through my hair, pacing, trying not to break down.
"H-how, how, bad?" I whisper.
"Bad." My dad nods.
I sprint out the house getting my phone and keys and legging it to my car, hitting the wall on the way with my fist. I've been here before, being told Maya is critical in hospital and driving al the way to New York, at maximum speed. Not my Maya... Not again, this isn't happening again... Nothing can happen to her... Please, God, no...
