*New Years Eve*Riley's POV:
This year for New Years Eve, we are all (everyone who was at Christmas) attending a ball being held in The Plaza, thanks to some deal my mom is working with her law firm. It is going to be really fancy, so Maya, Mom, Grandma, Ava and I are currently all getting our hair and makeup done professionally.
"I hope my dad meets someone at the ball tonight." Maya says out of the blue as we have our hair styled.
"What makes you say that Maya?" Mom asks her.
"It's just, at Christmas I noticed everyone was coupled up apart from him, it would be nice for him to have someone." She explains.
"You know, I heard that Angela is single." Grandma says.
"I thought she was married?" I question.
"They got divorced, apparently 'her heart was never in it', George spoke to her the other day, they bumped into each other at the store, she's living here now." She continues to explain.
"She's going to the ball." Mom says.
"How do you know that Topy?" Ava asks.
"I don't yet, but trust me, she will be there." Mom tells us, suggesting she is going to get Angela there.
"You think they'll fall in love again?" Maya asks.
"I don't think they ever stopped." Grandma says.*Later that day*
Mom has managed to get Angela to come to the ball, we are meeting her there, so we are currently all putting on our dresses, ready to go. When we all enter my parents living room, ready, our dates are all standing at us in awe.
