Today, Maya and I are going shopping for my dress for her wedding, it's only me and her as I'm the Maid of Honour and she isn't having any bridesmaids, but Amelie is going to be flower girl.
"You know, Amelie will probably be able to walk down the aisle with her petals, rather than someone carry her by the time of your wedding." I say to Maya as we are in our way to the boutique. "That'll be so adorable!" "Gosh, she is growing up so fast! It's her first birthday in a month!" "It's so scary, do you want me to help organise her party?" "Yes please! It's gonna be a lotta work." "Well, I can handle you can't I?" She teases. "Hey! What's that meant to mean?" I laugh. "You a lotta work." We laugh and eventually pull up at the boutique. I try on 4 beautiful dresses, and we letter them A-D to refer to.

My personal favourites are A and B, and Maya likes B and C. So, we decide to get B. It's really beautiful. "Hey Maya! Whilst we are here, why don't we look for your dress for my wedding?" I suggest. "That sounds fun!" There are two that are perfect!

"I don't know Riles, wouldn't it take the attention off your dress, it being a ball gown and all?" Maya considers as we admire the black dress. "And it's black." She adds. "Do you not like it?" "Let's go get some lunch." I say. "Yes, I am very hungry. And we can discuss Amelie's birthday." "Good idea!" We link arms and stroll out of the shop. We decide to get lunch at Nando's, as it's Maya's favourite. "So, I was thinking for Amelie's birthday, just have family, and as we have such a big one." "You do have a very big family, how many will there be at the party?" "Well, there'll be you, me, Lucas, Amelie, Farkle, possibly Enid, Mom, Dad, Auggie, Ava, Uncle Josh, Uncle Shawn, Uncle Eric, Aunt Morgan, Ryan, their baby, Kelly, who is Ryan's Mom and Uncle Eric's girlfriend, Grandma, Grandpa and Mr Feeny. That's like 20 people? Oh and Pappy Joe and Cletis! And I mean, I'll talk to Lucas about it first but I'd like to invite his parents too." "You sure about that one? "Actually, yeah, I am gonna go to NYU, study hospitality and lesiure etc, and then work in a hotel, I'd be a receptionist first, then eventually be a manager and finally, my ultimate goal is to have my own hotel. Why d'you ask? What about you?" "I'm scared about what will happen once we graduate." "Hey, there's nothing to be scared of." "I know but, I just don't know what to do with my life after school." "Well, you used to say that being a teacher could be fun. And you love art, you could be an art teacher!" "I don't know if I'd deal with kids to well. But I like the idea." "There are schools for adults you know?" "That's a good idea. I think Josh feels the same, he doesn't know what to do with his life after he is done at NYU."
