Chapter 5

Jacks Pov

I woke up after a few hours sleep with the smell of food soaring threw the air right into my mouth making it water. I then sit up to find Rose holding a metal tray of food. Two plates that had roast beef and vegetables on them. The meat and the veggies were steaming hot making my mouth water even more. Rose walked over slowly and carefully trying not to drop the food anywhere. She places the tray on the bedside table and then hands me one of the plates and a knife and fork.

The meat sizzled with flavour cooking my mouth. I devoured my roast within minutes and so did Rose. We didn't say anything to each other we just kept scoffing our mouths full of food until we were finished.

Rose just looked at me when we were both done. I must say that she was looking ravishing with her colour now going back to normal. I clear my throat.

"Listen Rose I may not have a lot to give you but... I know that our love is stronger than anything. And we have both proved that to everyone, your Mum, Cal and Molly. And that was the greatest test or all time or is and our love. And now we are all each other has now. And well... I should really get down to the point of all this so here it goes...", I then weaved my left hand  through the blankets and into my pocket to grab the box, "Rose would you do me the greatest honour that a man could ever have and marry me? Not ... Not just for our children or that we are alone, but for our true love for each other", I then open the box to reveal a single silver ring with a big clear white diamond in the middle with little diamonds bordering around the large stone,Well Rose what to you say?

"YES YES YES YESSSSS!!", Rose immediately pounced on me kissing me all over my face with excitement. I then pulled Cal's ring off and threw it onto the ground as we continued to make out. We then stopped and I put mine on.

"Oh Jack it's beautiful, but how did you get this?", Rose asked looking at her new engagement ring

"It was my mothers and her mothers an her mothers. It has been passed down through my family generations. It was the only thing I claimed from her when she died. On my fathers note he gave to me it said 'to give it to the most special, brightest, strong, beautiful woman in the world that you love'. And that's you Rose. After my father died I put the ring into the box and then gave it to myself as remembrance. I then put it into my pocket where it has been ever since, close to my heart and on me in person."

"Wow", Rose said with amazement to the story now looking down at her new fancy, lighter wedding ring, "It's perfect"

"Well I'm glad you think so because it is yours now", she just showed her biggest most gorgeous smile.

"I love you Jack."

"I love you too Rose."

We were then just about to kiss when we were then interrupted by footsteps and loud noises coming from the deck of the boat. We have arrived in New York City.
