Chapter 37

Jacks pov

I can't get a wink of sleep after our chat. Rose just leans on me in a deep sleep. I need to get out and clear my head. I then slowly start to slip out of bed trying not to disturb Rose. I then lifted her head off my shoulder and onto her pillow. I then tip toed around the bed to the door when I see the twins cot. I could hear them making their baby sounds and moving their little arms and legs about. Bringing attention to them so they would be picked up.

"Alright come on then", I wrapped them round in the same blanket and pick them up together. I cradled them in my arms as I sneakily went out the door. I walked down the stairs into the living room. "This is nice huh?" I talked to them as I took a seat in an arm chair. I then looked into my children's eyes. "How did I manage to get so lucky with you and your mommy huh? How did I ever get so lucky?", I leaned back in the arm chair with tears forming in my eyes. I then started to rock Lilly and Jackson back to sleep.

"Me and mommy have gone through some pretty hard stuff. But to have you two. Here, right now. It's just it's just amazing", I am overwhelmed with emotion. I have to let go. "We met on the biggest grandest ship in the world called the Titanic. That's were we met and fell in love and created you. In the back seat of hot steamy car", I added chuckling. They laid there still as I looked into their eyes and they looked into mine. "But you're a miracle. You want to know why? Because everything we did was put on the line. Oh god but was all worth it. It was all worth it in the end. Everything was worth it. Because then I wouldn't have you two or your mommy." I placed angel kisses on their tiny foreheads. "I love you so so much. So much", I brought them close to my chest and basically hugged them. All I wanted to do was hug them like one person, like Rose. I then began to weep again. I then lowered the babies.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry", I cried to them wiping my tears away. I then tried to rock them back to sleep trying to remain quite. I then eventually fell asleep with them both in my arms.

Roses pov

*in the morning*

"Mmmmmm", I moved around grabbing the sheets. Space. Gap. Jack! Jack isn't here. I then awoke immediately to see Lilly, Jackson and Jack all missing from theirs beds. Oh no. Tell me they haven't been taken in the night by Cal? Tell me that they are alright. I have only been a mother for less then 24 hours and my whole family has vanished from the same room. I am panicking.

"MARY! JOE!", I yelled out to them in my bed, as I am strictly commanded to remain in bed for at least a week.

"What? What is it?", they rushed into my quarters like gorillas hearing an animal in their tribe in trouble.

"Jack! The babies!", I said trying to catch my breath. They then looked at the places were each of them were once resting, and bolted out the door to find them all.

Joseph pov

Me and Mary then rushed down the flight of stairs only to see Jack sleeping with Lillian and Jackson in his arms. Well ain't that a sight for sore eyes? Me and Mary then looked each other and slowly crept up on them.

As we got closer Jack had dried up rivers of tears streaming down both sides of his cheeks. Jackson was awake waving his arms and legs around. While his younger sister, Lilly was sound asleep beside him.

I then put my left hand under the twins blanket were they were wrapped up together in. I then slowly picked them up off Jack. And slowly made my way back up stairs. While Mary grabbed a blanket from the couch and placed it on Jack.

I then slowly tuned the door nob to see Rose who was very anxious about what happened to her family. But when I enter with the twins in my arms. Her face in lightened with joy.

"Oh give them here", she begged longing to hold her children, "where did you find them?", she asked as she rocked them and played with Jackson.

"Downstairs. They were with Jack. He is still currently sleeping. We didn't want to wake him", Rose just nodded at me before before getting distracted by the twins. Lilly then woke up and begins to cry.

" oh could you please close the door and leave please? I need to feed them both now", Rose asked me.

"Of course. Duty calls", I joked with her before closing the door and walking out.

Jacks pov

I awoke with sunlight filling the room I was in. My arms felt bent and heavy like something or someone was their. Oh shit. The twins. I then bounced out of my chair and race up the stairs to my room. I then barge into my room to see Rose breastfeeding the twins. A swell of relief fills my body. I then collapse on my knees beside the bed just to stroke my sons very soft silky head.

"You can take him if you like Jack. He's done feeding", Rose said as she checked up on Lillian who was still suckling away on her left breast. I then stood up and picked up Jackson. Me and Rose were quiet for the next few minuets as we nursed our two children.

"Thank you for the talk, last night", I said finally letting it go. Rose then looked at me.

"No problem", she said with a smile.

"And since we are being honest and husband and wife, Jack. I want your approval for Lilly and Jackson to be baptised. That's is, if you are ok alright with it all?"

"Yeah. Yeah. Besides I'm pretty sure I'm baptised . And if it means a great deal to you then it is a big deal to me", I then bend over to kiss her. I then pull away to see her beautiful curved smile.
