I watched quietly as Catherine and Charlie escaped, even I wanted to escape, be away from Rancour. Rancour really seemed to be a lunatic and a sadist; he was beating and torturing us just for pleasure. Rancour was so upset about the two escaping that he literally used a spell which dragged us further inside the cave. Every time I almost fell unconscious he would kick me again, Drake was the only one unconscious. Brittney struggled with pain but there was nothing that we could do, we could not stop Rancour from hurting us, we were helpless.

Even Josh did nothing as he stood by and watched Rancour beat the crap out of me. Our screams of pain did not affect him at all as he kept walking ahead of us. We were dragged for almost five to six minutes, my whole body was covered in bruises and the pain grew unbearable as the time passed by, soon the long cave came to an end and in front of us was a huge.... hall? I don't what to call that place.

There was a wide open space, and right in front of was maddam's body tied to the wall. It was a horror to see her in that condition. She did not move at all, I had no clue as if she was even breathing. There was a ribbon tied over her eyes, and there were marks of lashes of Rancour's whip covering her body. Even the snakes of her hair were not moving.

Right beneath Maddam was a small green coloured water body which seemed to be fuming for some reason. Rancour saw me staring at Maddam as he pulled me up on my feet by holding me by my hair. I did my best not to shout or cry in the pain,

"Do you like our little trophy Lucy?" Rancour said tightening his grip on my hair, laughing."Oh, don't you be a spoilt sport, shout a little... let your precious Maddam know that some students have come to visit her. Won't she be delighted?"

Scott seemed to have decided that had, had enough of Rancour as he tried to stand up. But before he could balance himself on his legs Alice suddenly appeared behind him and pinned him to the ground.

"There, there... you don't have to stand up, this isn't some Disney princess movie where you get to save the damsel in distress, this is reality" Rancour said.

Rancour then said some spell in Danish because of which made me go just go blind. I am serious, I could see nothing... there was darkness everywhere. The only thing I could see was Rancour's glowing red eye. Then Rancour threw me on the floor saying,

"Welcome to The Archfiend's Basement. Hope you enjoy your stay."

Then the dragging began again. I could feel that we were being separated from each other. The next thing I know is that both my hands and legs are being tied and shackled. Soon the vision of my eyes returned. I looked around to find myself in what seemed to be a dungeon. I failed to notice Rancour who was standing just in front of me. He crouched beside me, held my chin by his hand and brought my face real close to his and said,

"I sadly have to take my leave now, but don't even think about falling asleep, princess. Because each time you do, it won't be pleasant. Happy nightmares."

With that he let go of my face very roughly, and closed the door of the dungeon. I could still see maddam outside; I looked around to find only Drake beside me. Drake was bleeding a lot and he was shackled to the floor in the same way I was. I could not find the others anywhere. Rancour had separated us.

I wondered where Scott and Brittney was but then I decided to at first see if there was some way to escape, but no. The shackles were too tight for me and Drake was unconscious. It was then that those horrid kicks took an effect on me. The pain started to spread through my entire body.

I had never felt so helpless in my entire life. At last the tears started and before I could even realize it myself I was sobbing. Drake became conscious again at that moment. He looked around checking where he was then he looked at me with such kindness in his eyes and said with a warm smile,

"Don't worry Lucy. Everything is going to be just fine. Think of this as just a bad dream. You will wake up any moment now. Plus I am sure Charlie and Catherine will do something to save us."

His voice seemed to be so soothing at that moment, as he tried to comfort me. But even I could tell that he himself was confused, scared and tensed. But I just nodded hoping what he said would come true that, Catherine and Charlie would not lose their hope and they would come to save us. Till then I had all my fingers crossed, wishing for things to go back to normal, as they were before.

 I wanted Emma back.
