I had thought that the fight would be over after that spell... it is one of the strong spells used by the wizards. I don't know how we managed to create the pillars... I believe it must have been then adrenaline.

But after seeing that Rancour was not even scratched I was both angry and disappointment... I mean I had given my everything in that spell... and though it may have knocked down Alice... it failed to even scratch Rancour. But I got to say, I was seriously surprised seeing Alice's royalty for Rancour... it was either that or Rancour had forcefully made Alice do so. But whichever it was... Rancour was angry.

It seemed that the fight had not ended... it had just started. I tried my best to bet up, but my body was not responding at all... I felt that I had lost total control over my body... my body had gone numb. The bandages were now totally black and they seemed to be actually sticking to my hand, both my hands were literally stinging.

Josh and Catherine were our only hope, as they were the only one who could at least stand properly. But even they were not in a in a good condition to fight Rancour that is... Drake meanwhile, moaned every time he tried to move. I was sure that some of his ribs might have been broken. Charlie was the one who was in an extremely serious condition... he was spitting blood every now and then. Though Catherine could fight well, I was not sure as to how much time she would last in the battle field against Rancour.

Catherine was the first one to attack. She ran towards him in incredible speed, but Rancour just caught her by the neck,

"You puny insects! You dare go against me? Let's just give you a view as to what a dark wizard can do to you... Starting with you, Catherine." Rancour said tightening the grip around Catherine's neck.

Then both of Rancour's eyes became pitch black, even the sclera was all black. I recognised the spell he was using at once! It was none other than the spell 'Soul eye'. You see, dark spells became extinct with the kingdoms of the evil Kings plus they are forbidden. The 'soul eyes' spell is the most used dark spell from the anciet era. It is used to literally suck the soul out of their bodies (though their eyes).

I think even Josh got as to what Rancour was going to do as he jumped on his brother's back. He had a death grip around him and Rancour let go of Catherine immediately. He lost his concentration and thus could not put the horrible spell to use. Catherine fell down on the ground breathing heavily, literally panting. Rancour's hand then went towards Josh who was clinging to him like a monkey.

Josh soon had to let go off Rancour...and stood in front of him with both his hands out. Josh's eyes changed into... emerald colour with pupils like snake eyes, in fact both his hands where covered in scales till the wrist. I was confused at first as to what Josh intended to do, but then I saw a huge snake moving slowly and quietly towards Rancour. I even noticed that the snakes eyes and scales matched to that of Josh's.

The snake quickly coiled itself around Rancour slowly crushing him with a 'hiss' sound. Josh clutched his hands tight while the snake tightened its coils around Rancour.

"You know brother" Josh started with a voice filled with hatred." I am going to crush you to death today; it would be really delightful to do it... I am surely in for a treat. You had said that it was my destiny to kill you... wasn't it? Well, I think you are wrong... It is pretty sure my destiny to kill you!" surprisingly... Josh sounded totally like Rancour... It was actually terrifying to hear him talk like that.

But then, instead of hearing a whimper we heard laughter, Rancour was laughing very hard as he whispered,

"How interesting! You sound just like me! Now let's electrifying things a bit..." and with that electricity surged though Rancour's body directly into the snake. The snake danced with the intense electricity and then just disappeared. Rancour did not waste a time as he smacked Josh two times and kicked him continuously. Lastly, Rancour caught Josh by his neck and cornered him towards the wall and squeezed his neck hard.

"Nah... I don't think so you can ever kill me brother. I can't seem to even cope with the fact that you insects actually thought you could defeat me." And with that Rancour passes electricity from his body to Josh. Though it did not bother Rancour at all... it bothered Josh a lot. Rancour let him go right when Josh was in the verge of being burned. Josh fell to the ground, his body literally fuming. Catherine was going to get up when Rancour shouted at her saying,

"Don't even think about that! I won't be showing mercy or else... I will turn you into ashes if you dare interfere us brother. You don't remember a thing about your past? Isn't that right, Josh!? Well, I wish you remembered what you DID TO ME!" Rancour grabbed Josh by the back of his neck and made him get up.

"I will make you suffer, Brother." Rancour says... he then took a few long breaths as if cooling himself. "Now, now... it seems I am losing my cool again... sorry about that. Usually Alice is there to stop me from doing that... but YOU...INSECTS! HURT HER! I will forgive you this time... but not you Josh... Cause you have sinned... a lot." With that Rancour made Josh face Charlie... who was now bleeding from his mouth.

"Now... look at your so called best friend! You see him!? I could have killed him with my scythe, nefarious. Nefarious has many abilities brother... and torturing is one of them. Nefarious did not do anything serious because I want to torture him slowly and painfully... right in front of you.... well, see the irony of it... you don't even remember the one person who sacrificed everything for you...He is a slave now... for you! And you forgot him..."

"What are you talking about!?" Josh asked clearly confused and in pain... seeing Charlie like that, plus Rancour's continuous tightening of the grip around his neck. Then I heard Drake groan really loud... he seemed to be in so much pain... I felt bad for him; I could even see a few tears as he tried to get up, but failed due to that pain. It almost seemed as if he was drowning in that pain.

"You will come to know what I mean really soon...But first... How about I kill you best friend now... Just like how I had your girlfriend killed... I am NOW surely in for a treat!" Rancour said with a creepy smile on his face.

I tried to get up, but failed (Again)... as Rancour ditched Josh and walked towards Charlie, who was almost unconscious in pain; literally panting and spitting blood out of his mouth now and then... the scythe... which Rancour had previously called Nefarious reformed in his hand. But then he stopped short in his tracks as a very familiar voice came from behind,

"Well, that's exactly where you are wrong, Rancour."
