[Tris]

"So, sweetie." Mom purses her lips, placing her fork down on the table. Tobias left an hour ago and everyone went home. It took everything in me not to call him but I wouldn't want him getting into an accident, Tobias is going to stay in Kalamazoo, Michigan and it is going to take him about three hours to get there and get settled. I'm sure the traffic has to be bad, so he might just be getting in the middle of his distance. "How are you doing, you know with Four gone and all?" I see Caleb take a bite of his lasagna.

I shrug my shoulders, taking a sip of my juice. Mom gives me a stern look, "Fine, it's only been an hour." I sigh, standing up to my feet. I take my plate and cup with me upstairs to my room where I sit down on my bed. I continue to eat in silence, glancing at my phone every now and then expecting a call from the one I love.

I've never loved a man like I love Tobias, ever since my dad died I looked for the hole to be filled. I want to have someone to look after me with strong arms, be there for me. Then, I met Tobias and everything changed. He changed me. I ended up having that masculine figure in my life, and when he just leaves I feel like everything I worked for went down the drain.

I let out a sigh when I return back to the kitchen to see mom and Caleb sitting on the sofa watching television. I give them both a smile and go back to the kitchen to wash my dishes, I leave and go back upstairs to take a shower.

Just as I get under my covers to watch movies, my phone rings and I reach for my phone seeing my handsome boyfriend face appear on the screen, "Hi babe!" I squeal with happiness when I hear his deep voice over the phone.

"Hi babygirl!" I hear how happy he sounds over the phone and it puts a smile on my face, I wouldn't want to keep him here and he is unhappy because I didn't know how to let go, "I just got here in my dorm, and luckily I was one of the fortunate ones that I was able to get my own dorm to myself." I hear him say and I let out a sigh of relief. He's by himself, so if another dude were to come in with a girl he wouldn't get tempted to cheat. What am I talking about? He wouldn't cheat on me.

"That's nice, I recently just got finished eating dinner. Zeke and Shauna were the first to get there at their dorms, and Uriah and Marlene just got settled. Did they call you?" I question, laying back on my bed.

"Yes, Zeke called me and Marlene called me and put me on speaker." He says. The rest of the night we make small talk on a few things and soon he has to go because he has orientation tomorrow and he has to finish packing. That night, I fall asleep with a smile on my face.

"Can you believe that in two days we will be at College, too bad they don't have dorms." Christina frowns as we walk back to the car as we carry our bags. She, Will, and I went shopping for school today at the mall, we got some outfits and earlier this morning we got supplies. It felt weird not having Tobias arm wrapped around me as we went into different stores, instead I was the third wheel with Christina and Will. This is something I am not going to be used to.

"Well, it's either no dorms or not so good of an education." Will says as I get into the backseat of his car, "The majors really are worth a good education, I did some research and they have a high rate of graduates. So I wouldn't call it prestigious but I wouldn't call it laid back either."  I continue to listen to Will go on about college and Christina's expectations. Within ten minutes we arrive at my house.

"Thanks guys, I'll see you later." I wave at my friends and get my bags and go inside the house. I see Caleb sitting on the couch and I set my bags down by the door along with my shoes and I sit beside him with a smile, "Hey, whatcha' watching?" I pull my legs up to my body.

"The Maze Runner, there wasn't really anything else on TV." He gives me a smile, "How are you?"

"I'm fine, I went shopping with Christina and Will for school Tuesday." We both sit in silence until Caleb opens his mouth.

"Have you talked to Four today?" He questions and I nod my head. Tobias called earlier this morning, maybe around 6 and I woke up. He has orientation today and he has his classes that he is taking. We FaceTimed and he gave me a small tour of his dorm. It's really nice and the perfect size for him. But then he had to go because he was going to walk around with one of his friends that he met up there, then he was going to go grocery shopping for him to eat so I might talk to him again around 6 in the afternoon.

"Yes, he showed me his dorm and it's so nice. I can't wait until he comes home. But, I want to visit him too." I lean against my big brother who wraps his arm around me, "It's only the beginning." I murmur before we both turn to the television to watch the movie, and within minutes we are both asleep in each other's arms.

[Tobias]

"This is the dining hall, they have many different mini restaurants in there and it's delicious. Here, is the commons, this is where most people hang to you know, chill. Most of the hotties come here after class, you will meet some-" Gabe says. He lives right beside me and we ran into each other yesterday and he told me that he would give me a tour tomorrow, which is today. He's tall but just a few inches shorter than me, he has blonde hair and dark brown eyes with a nose ring like a bull.

"I have a girlfriend." I tell him—for the fifth time sine I met him yesterday.

"Oh yeah," He scratches the back of his head, "My bad, I keep forgetting about her. I hope she visits so I can see her." He crosses his arms and I furrow my eyebrows at him. He continues to walk me around the campus until I return back to my dorm to grab my things and I go shopping. I grab a few things from the store and I return to my dorm to pack up my things.

When I am finished, I run my hand through my hair and let out a sigh looking out of the window. I pull my shirt over my head and stretch out my limbs, collapsing on my bed. I stare up at the ceiling wondering what Tris is doing right now, I want her arms to wrap around my body and feel her cold hands run up and down my chest. I want up to wake up together in a heap of limbs and laugh together in the mornings.

Instead I fall asleep in a quiet room, filled with my own breathing. It's only the second day, I tell myself, things will get better and before I know it we will have our family.
