[Tobias]

The spring breeze encases my body as I go inside the lunch hall building and the smell of food hits my nose making my stomach let out a large growl. I don't care what it is or how fake it is, I'm hungry and too lazy to leave campus for some food at a crowded drive-thru. I run my hands over my tattooed arms and go through the line. When Winter left us and I started wearing shorter sleeves, everyone was amazed at the new details on my arms. I felt more confident to wear shirts that came above my elbow.

Winter went by quickly and before I knew it, I was staying up late studying for my final exams that are going to end this school year off and I would soon return to my girlfriend who I can shower with love and gifts. When I left back in January, I felt so bad but soon it started to get better. Lauren wouldn't talk to me for a week because I didn't try to call her on break or even call her back when Tris cursed her out.

"It's good to see that you know how to talk to people." Lauren arms fold across her chest as I sit at our usual table, Gabe looking at both of us with a confused expression. I shrug my shoulders at him as he chuckles quietly to himself. I don't pester her with questions because she would probably blow-up on me and I would sure as hell return it, I don't want to embarrass her.

Gabe smiles and bites into his burger, "There is a, 'Welcome end of the school year' party this Friday. You trying to come?" I've only been to 1 party since I've been here and I literally walked in, stole two beers and left without anyone noticing me slide out of the door while still facing the party. When I got there everyone was drunk and happy to see me, but while they were taking shots, I left. It was too many girls that were acting like hoes and drunk guys that couldn't hold a conversation, "Please! At least just stay for an hour or two, so many people want to see you there. Not only the girls but the guys, and I can look cool beside you because you don't want to talk to all the other's." He smiles, looking at the ceiling.

"Sounds like he wants to use you to be a wing-man." Lauren laughs, her mood suddenly changing and I sigh, it really irritates me when someone mood changes from happy to sad. That's why I can't be around Gemini's, "You really should looking into coming to the party though, it's gonna be down by Lake Michigan, basically a bonfire."

I furrow my eyebrows, placing my soda on the table, "Drunk idiots by a fire pit. Smart." I laugh and shake my head as they both give me pleading eyes, "I'll see." They both start cheering and I go back to my lunch, I miss my old friends

My boots stomp against the dirt ground as Lauren and Gabe pull my hand hard to lights and music. They've been waiting all week to go to this party unlike me, I threw an all black outfit together and put a baseball cap on my head, looking way better than I anticipated. The sound of Tris' voice made me want to turn around and leave the two idiots here at the party to get wasted.

I called her as I was getting dressed and told her that I was going to a party, she sounded so worried but tried to mask it with excitement for me. I felt so bad, but I was already dressed and I needed to blow off some steam from this week with some beer and a good conversation that I know that I will most likely not get.

"This is going to be so much fun." I groan when I see way to many eyes staring at me, boys and girls. Then the stares break when the varsity/frat boys see's me and starts screaming my name. I just want to take at least five beers and climb into a tree and drink the night away. But, I am the driver for the night and someone will most likely find me and want to join me.

"Four! My man, you made it! Time for you and I to find some lovely ladies." Ashton, a man-whore smiles at me, throwing his arm around me. All of the football players wanted me to play with them so bad, but like I told Tris, I'm here to get an education and return home to her. . . I'm not here to have fun and get attached. It seems like none of these douche-bags care that I have a beautiful girlfriend waiting for me and everyone seems to know by now, she's the first person I try to talk about to girls who try to spark a flirtatious conversation with me. I give him a fake smile and slide out of his grip, getting a beer from the tub of ice.

A girl walks up to me, she has on a pair of cutoff shorts and a tight top that is cut in half like the ones Tris wears. She has long brown hair and emerald eyes, "Hi, my name is Madison. You're Four." She more-than-asks, and extends her hair that has fake talons at the end of them. I shake it quickly and take a long drag of my beer, this is going to be a long night.

"Yes, I'm Four, nice to meet you Madison." I go to turn around but her hand clasps down on my arm and she looks up at me through her lashes and gives me a smile. I give her a look to get the hell off of me and she unhands me.

She stands up straighter and tucks her hair behind her ears, "Well, I just wanted to talk to you. I see you around school but you never say much. . . or participate in parties or activities. Sometimes we miss the fun Four."

"Well, I'm pretty sure you never saw the 'fun-Four' because I'm not here to have fun. I have a girlfriend back in Chicago who is sitting there, waiting for me to come home and love her," Her face falls and she looks at me with disappointment, "My plan is to finish my stuff up here and go back to there, get married and impregnate her with my kids. So, before you or your friends try and 'talk' to me tonight, you can spread the word that I'm taken and I have no interest in girls who only want sex and a relationship to put on social media." I turn around and walk away from her. Sometimes I had being mean, but they need to know that I love Tris and get that through their thick skulls.

"Dude! You are totally disappointing girls here," Gabe stumbles upon me and places his hand on my shoulder. I've been leaning against this large table, watching everyone have conversations and drink while dancing to the music. I find interest on my phone, texting Zeke and Tris that are getting me through the night, "That hot, Madison, girl was so close to tears because you were, and I quote, 'mean and an a*shole to her'. She was talking to her friends and I just so happened to get her number because I told her that I would treat her better. But, honestly, I think that just turned all the girls on even more. . . you can never fail." I give a slight chuckle at him, he pats my shoulder before walking back into the party.

I see Lauren stumble up to me and sits down on the tree stump beside me and gives me drunk smile, "I've been looking for you everywhere!" She slurs and giggles, sipping on the cup that's in her hand, "You're being a real buzz-kill, you need to drink some and come dance with me. I've been wanting to dance with you all night." She hiccups.

"I don't want to dance, I don't dance." I tell her and she rolls her eyes, swatting her hand at me. This is different from seeing Lauren from fun but conserved and chill, to loud, honest, and hyper.

"You do dance, but probably only with that little blonde you call your girlfriend." She sighs and turns to me, her eyes are bloodshot and she is wobbly, even sitting down beside me. I can only know that this is going to be a long car ride and I'm happy that Gabe drove here because they can make the biggest mess ever for all I care.

I smile, "You're right. I do only dance with her."

She sighs and rolls her eyes at me, anger flashing in her eyes, "All you do is remind me of her. Stop talking about her! You don't need her you need someone like me." I chuckle quietly, hearing the truth coming out of drunk Lauren.

"And why would you think that I need someone like you?" I study her face and confusion fills it, "Honestly."

"Honestly," She slurs, "You need someone like me because I'm happy and I let you have your space. I wouldn't tie you down and give you space, but at the same love you and be better at things I'm sure she sucks at."

My body shakes with laughter and she looks upset, for a second I think that she is going to slap me across the face but she kisses me on the lips and I freeze.
