I love him, there is no doubt about it. We're goofy together, we're mean to each other, yet we love each other so much that when one of us leaves, it's like a piece of us dies. That's how I feel, I'm excited to get back to school because it means it's going to end soon, but, I know that Tobias has to leave and I had so much fun with him. When he left yesterday morning, I tried my best to conceal my sadness but looking into his eyes made me feel much better and know that he was coming home to me.
"These will go great with the color of the walls." Christina smiles at the gold side table, she lifts the lightweight item up and places it in the cart. It seems like everyone wants to move out of their parent's house so soon, she and Will are going to move to this cute, small, apartment in Lincoln Park. It's the perfect size for the couple and I'm kind of jealous, but I push that down. I wish I could live with Tobias everyday and have endless late-night talks together while we eat leftover pizza until the sun comes up.
But, Christina and Will have loving families who like in Chicago who are more than willing to help them with their college expenses, and home expenses. Tobias doesn't have any family except for me and wants something better. So, while Christina and Will are dining on dinner together, I have to wait for my knight in shining armor to return.
"That is nice." I tell Christina with a genuine smile on my face, "Gold does go well with black and white. When do you two actually move in?" I question, looking around IKEA as she pushes around the large cart that holds a few pieces of small decorations for around the house.
"Well, we are going to move in on the 15, two weeks from now. But, we're trying to get our stuff straight before we move in. Our parents helped donate money to the living room set and the kitchen." She smiles, obviously happy. I'm pleased with how this is turning out for my bestfriend, and I'm just waiting for the day with Christina calls me on the phone and tells me that Will proposed.
We shop together for a few moments, I pick up a few things for Tobias' apartment and I hope that when he comes home for Summer vacation, his apartment will be decked out with furniture. That's is my plan. I want to do something for him that makes him happy, and be there for him like his family wasn't there for him.

I tuck my hair behind my pierced ears, and place my long, trench-coat on the back of my chair. I have a seat in the patted, beige, chair and Christina sits across from me. The waiter sets our menu's down in front of us and leaves us alone to skim our eyes over the words. We decided to get something to eat after shopping, and since we were close to Millennium Park, we went to this great restaurant called Cindy's Rooftop. It's a rooftop restaurant but is encased in glass with panels open that lets the pale sunlight peak through the gray clouds, it's elegant but still relaxed.
"I feel so. . . aesthetic-y" Christina chuckles as she sips her red wine, her red lipstick staining the crystal glass, "We could be like those people on Tumblr that wear high-priced clothes that are pink and have their make-up on point." She laughs, fluffing the ends of her hair while I laugh.
I nod in agreement as my eyes look over the delicious choices. We skip the appetizers and head straight for the entrée. I decide to order the Niman Ranch Flat Iron Steak sandwich that comes with smoked blue cheese, and mustard greens with a special sauce I am dying to try. It pairs with buttermilk smashed potatoes and Christina got the chicken breast sandwich.
When the food arrives, Christina instantly starts taking pictures, "This is totally going on Snapchat." She giggles and then takes a bite of her sandwich and moans softly, being aware of the other people on this rooftop with us.
"What?" I laugh, chewing my potatoes.
"You don't know what Snapchat is?" Her face falls as she drops her fork and starts gnawing on the bread rolls that are so warm and buttery. This place is literally down the street from Christina and Will's apartment, so I can see us here all the time in the future. She's about thirty minutes away from where Tobias lives, so if I caught the bus from Tobias' place I could get to her in no time. . . or catch a cab.
I roll my eyes at her as I take a sip of my wine, "I know what it is Christina. I have one, I mostly use it to play with Four on the filters." I point out, "Not as much as you though, you get on like everyday. But we get on from time to time."
We chat over lunch, talking about how she wants her layout for her apartment and how her family reacted when she said she wanted to move out. For dessert we decided to share the very big, white chocolate, raspberry, ice cream sandwich. It was absolutely divine and we had to wait a few minutes before we went to pay the bill and go to the car because we were so stuffed. It was the best nap I ever had when I went home and got in my bed, with my makeup still on my face.
