[Tobias]
The days are getting shorter, the wind is stronger, and the cold more vicious. Most people are packing up for Winter break while others are decorating for their dorm. Tomorrow is going to be my last day until I go back to Chicago and relieved is an understatement. Due to Tris and I being in completely different colleges I get out before her, so while I'm sleeping in, Tris will be at school.
"They really need to lay off trying to be in the, 'holiday spirit'" Lauren pouts as she takes the red and green streams out of her hair, "My professor thought it was funny to throw streamers and spray us with silly string. I'm just happy my exams are over, oversleeping is on my planner." I laugh at her and Gabe runs up to us and claps me on the shoulder.
"Too bad you have to go back to Chicago, Four. We usually have many Christmas parties around Michigan and drink eggnog at the parties." He gives a playful smile, "But have fun with your girl if you know what I mean." He wiggles his eyebrows before he goes into his room.
"Yeah, have fun." Something seem's off about Lauren but I shrug it off, "Happy holidays!" She gives me a hug before she scurries down the hallway. I furrow my eyebrows but go into my dorm. I get to spend Christmas and the New Years with my girl, my beautiful girl. Luckily, since I've grown close to my boss and got referred to them from my other Lowe's boss from Chicago, he know's that I'm going back home for the time being so he gave me the time off but I have to work double time when I get back. I don't see any free time coming up once I get home, I better enjoy it now.
After taking my shower and eating some ramen noodles I lay on my bed and before I start studying for my final exam tomorrow for structural engineering and building technology. I really nervous for tomorrow and talking to Tris before I start studying will calm me down. Instead of texting her I decide to call her, it rings the first three times and I expect her to answer but it doesn't. I text her but she doesn't text back either, maybe she's busy or sleep. . . or hanging out with Matthew.
No, calm down Tobias, even if she was with Matthew it's not like she's screwing him. She loves me, every part of me so she wouldn't leave me for him. . . I really want to meet him while we're on break so I know what I'm working with. Small dude that always has his heads in the book and desperately wants a girlfriend, or a huge dude who lifts weights and plays varsity football with a tan. . . sounds like me. I can't be another Marcus and not let Tris live. I can't be, I won't.

"It's really coming down." I mutter to myself as I look out of the canteen windows, I leave in an hour to go to Chicago but before I leave I wanted to get something to eat. I'm eating with Lauren, again. Lauren is from Michigan, but she's more upstate than here. It takes her about an hour to get home, so we are both leaving. Gabe is from here so he can stay here longer and hang out with his rowdy friends and drink beer before he goes home.
"Yeah, I hope you get home safe. Don't speed." Lauren narrows her eyes at me before she bites into her sandwich and I playfully roll my eyes at her.
"Yes, Lauren, because I am going to do 80-miles-per-hour on the highway that I'm pretty sure is backed up. But, I'll be dammed if I woke up early only to fall asleep behind the wheel." I shake my head looking at the white flakes that falls out of the sky, I know that if it's snowing in Chicago now Tris would be bouncing off of the walls.
Lauren phone dings and she looks down at her phone and looks up and gives me a smirk, "Mom just texted me, she wants me there before the worst of the storm hits." She stands up and gives me a longer hug than usual, I pull away and nod at her, "Stay safe! Hope you have a good break!"
"You too, stay safe." We bid our goodbyes and I sit there, eating my food and texting Zeke. He just made it there and Hana was in tears because she gets to spend more time with her babies. I don't know how Marcus is doing, or how he's been. I don't care because this is what I've been craving, the freedom I demand, I want to be able to come home when I want and not receive a beating like I'm a child.
I fill up on gas and get on the highway, this was my second car. I've always had interest in Hummers, If it weren't for sneaking money from Marcus while he was drunk for the gas I don't know how I would keep up with this thing until I got a job. But now I'm on my own and I couldn't be happier.

I pull into Tris' driveway and I look through the window to see Tris laying down on the couch with a bowl in her hand, I see Caleb and his girlfriend, Susan decorating in the corner of the room while whispering to each other, I grab my bag from the trunk and walk to their front door, I knock on the door and hear Caleb's voice, "Who is it?!" He shouts.
"Four." I answer him and he opens the door for me and gives me a warm smile, "Hello, Caleb." I nod at him and he steps out the way before he gives me a hug.
"Hello, Four." He greets back, I nod at Susan before looking to the couch and Tris gasps when we lock eyes and she sets her bowl on the table before throwing herself off of the couch and throws her warm body in my arms, "Sue, can you help in the kitchen with dinner? Mom's gonna be home late again."
"Let's go upstairs." Tris whispers to me before she presses a kiss to my cheek, she grabs her bowl off of the couch along with her blanket and leads me upstairs, "Sorry for the mess, I'm in the midst of studying for my final exam tomorrow."
"Lucky you," I place my bag in her corner before taking off my shoes, I pull my jacket off and place it on top of my bag, plopping down her bed and she lays on top of me, kissing me on the lips. She tastes sweet, like vanilla. She buries her head in my neck and we lay like that for a moment, "It's snowing in Michigan so it should start coming down here soon."
Tris head peaks up at that and her pupils dilate, "Really?" She asks and I nod my head before she tightens around my body shaking with excitement. I chuckle at her and she laughs, "And just before you get the idea about stuff, I'm on my period." I groan loudly at that and she laughs at me while I cover my face. "Don't worry it's only day two."
"Three more days of hell." I shake my head while turning us over so that Tris is laying on my side, "Can you believe that after this month, it will be January? Then, with a fast pace, school will be over and I will be down here for the time being. I'm thinking about getting an apartment, you know, a small one because I'm sure your mom doesn't want to have an extra body in the house. After I get another job down here."
"That sounds nice, it would be nice to get out of the house and spend time with you. My mom is driving me up the wall, she wants me to start decorating around the house you know, getting in the spirit." She rolls her eyes and picks an imaginary string off of my shirt.
"I called you the other day." I run my hand over top of her head.
"What day?" She questions.
"Um, I would say Thursday?"
"I was at the gym with Matthew."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
And we sit there, me mentally thrashing out but physically relaxed with her in my arms. I feel her chest rise and fall, I kiss her forehead before I relax with her and follow her into a deep slumber.

I'm really thinking about doing a crossover of Situations to Handle, I've already started working on the first chapter and cover. But, if no one is interested and it's not coming out like I want it, I might not do it. Peace, lovelies💕💕
