[Tris]

"What has you so giddy? I know that this is the last day of school, but you don't have to be so excited to leave me." Matthew tells me as we walk to our cars that are pretty far from the building, I chuckle and Christina gives me a knowing smirk.

I roll my eyes at him, my smile still plastered on my face like someone super-glued it there, "No, I'm still going to talk to you all summer. Four is coming home today." It was such a surprise to hear from him. The love of my life coming home 3 days earlier than he was supposed to, he told me that he finished his test earlier and was coming home instantly.

It made me feel much better because since that Lauren girl kissed him in April, I called him everyday asking him how his day went. I wanted to know if she was around but he told me that she was just so embarrassed that it happened that she wasn't around a lot, it made me feel better but still on edge that I couldn't be there with him and tell her verbally that she needs to back off, "Of course! Congrats." Matthew touches my shoulder with a smile before he gets into his car.

"Four is going to love his apartment when he gets there. You worked hard and spent a lot of money for him." She gives me a hug and Will does too, "We'll see you soon, bye!" They leave and I turn to Lynn who gives me a fake smile and she gets in the passenger seat.

I pull out and she turns up the radio, "You really should think about driving." I joke as I start to drive towards her house. She lives with her dad, little brother, and Shauna. But, Shauna tends to spend time with Zeke more than at home. Lynn and Shauna's mother left them to be on drugs and never returned, and both of them don't want her to return. They don't talk much about it so no one ever brings it up, my mom usually sends home dishes with the girls since Mr. Terrier has three kids to look after while still working. Shauna, Lynn, and Hector even though Shauna and Lynn don't need help like 13-year-old Hector.

"No, I like catching rides instead of driving. Now, that Shauna is going to come home she can look after Hector while I spend my nights downtown." She snarls.

I smile at her, "Don't worry, this summer is going to be long enough for you to look for hot dates." She punches me in my shoulder and I nearly swerve off the road, playfully. I glare at her and I chuckle at her shocked expression.

[Tobias]

I take one last look at my vacant dorm and let out sigh of relief that I see everything is packed away and in my car, I won't be coming here for a while. I turn and walk out of the door, colliding with a figure who falls to the floor. I look down to see Lauren, she chuckles slightly and runs her hands through her hair, "Sorry about that." She mutters and lifts herself off of the floor. Ever since she kissed me at that party, I looked at her differently. Even Gabe had to say that it was wrong, yeah, he pushes for me to talk to girls but he know's that my heart belongs to Tris.

"What do you want? I have to leave." She follows me out of the hallway and down the steps to the main entrance and then to the parking lot.

"Four, you've been ignoring me for a while now. I just wanted to officially apologize for what happened months ago. I like our old friendship even if your girlfriend hates me. But, I want us to come back here next school year and still be friends." I sigh, listening to her. Gabe is still staying here for parties and exams, I'm so happy that I was able to finish early because now my vacation will be longer.

I shake my head at her, "You know I have a girlfriend, if you only want this friendship to get closer to me than you are wasting your own time and energy." I tell her and her face falls. I always knew that something would be up with her when I first met her. It's an open season for her, my girlfriend is at home and she tried to slide in. I can't be around that.

"I don't want that relationship, I just wanted to apologize. Just accept my apology, please." she whispers, and I sigh and look at the students walking around the campus. Loud and rowdy.

I let out a sigh and open my door, "Fine." I tell her and she looks up at me with happy eyes. I give her a nod and get in the truck and leave her in the parking lot. I can't wait to kiss Tris.

I park in the underground garage of my apartment and I make my way to the elevator and to my floor. Tris told me that she needs me to stop by her apartment first and not anywhere else because she has a surprise for me. I don't know what it is but I do know that I have butterflies swarming in my stomach—that was so un-manly.

I place my key in the door and push it open, and I gasp. In the living room is a couch with a love-seat that faces the now mounted television. A fluffy rug is placed in the middle, behind the glass coffee table, and with the TV out of the way, there is an open spot for the fire place that can be used for the Winter. Tris smiles and jumps in my arm, kissing my lips, "I missed you so much." She wraps her legs around my waist and I press our lips together again, making up for the time that was missed for those 5 months.

She jumps off of me and I almost groan, she smiles at me, "Surprise! I hope you like it. I worked hard since you left in January and all of our friends and family. . . well, most of them, put towards the couch and things." She grabs my hand and leads me to the kitchen, It looks the same but with more appliances like a coffee maker, food processor, and blender. She opens the fridge and it's stacked with food along with the cabinets. She takes me to the hallway bathroom and there are little knick-knacks that I would have never guessed to get.

Lastly, to our  room. I nearly throw her over my arms and spin around with her in the air, the bedroom looks amazing with a new burgundy comforter. There is a gold rug in the middle of the floor and pictures with more pieces of furniture around the room and the bathroom is dressed up with the same color theme, "You're amazing." I pull her to me and I kiss her lips, "But, you shouldn't have spent a penny on me." She rolls her eyes at me but still smiles.

"I love you, and I wanted you to come home to a packed apartment." She giggles and it sounds like music to my ears, she rarely does it and when she does, I can't help but to give her a boyish grin like now. I don't know what I did in life to have her mines.

What girlfriend decorates her boyfriend apartment with new furniture. Only she does, she makes me so happy and proud to be her's. Words can't even form for how much I missed her and how much I love her. This is going to be a great summer.
