[Tris]
I slip out of Tobias' hard grip on my waist and slide to the bathroom. He got in late last night from work and I was upset because we couldn't eat dinner together. I cooked and cleaned and he wasn't home, so I fell asleep. I felt so bad but I panicked. Is this how its going to be when I get married to him or any other man? I don't want to be a housewife, I want us to have dinner reservations and have fun instead of myself waiting for him to return home and him being too tired to even lift a finger. . . I guess I'm just overreacting.
The soap suds wash down the drain as I stand under the faucet. I start to wash my hair when I feel large hands clamp down on my hips and I nearly jump in the air. Tobias lets out a deep, tired, chuckle and kisses the side of my neck making me giggle. My feet turn my body around as I see my handsome boyfriend staring at me with so much love and happiness that it's almost overwhelming, "Good morning, babygirl." He kisses my forehead making a smile forming on my face.
"Good morning." I bring my lips to his, cupping my soapy hands on the sides of his face. He kisses me back and wraps his arm around my waist that he seems to love so much. I pull away from the kiss to see a soapy beard on his face and I laugh, throwing my head back, "You look like Santa."
He laughs and starts to lather soap up in his cloth, "Well you can be Mrs. Claus." I hear him clear his throat from behind me, "Where are you going? It's pretty early."
"You don't remember? I'm going with Matthew to the Navy Pier to get some ice cream and maybe get on the carousel." I can feel the heat of jealousy and anger radiating off of Tobias' body making my body instantly hotter, like I'm the center of attention of the room. I refuse to turn around because I know that I'm going to get a mouthful of words and I know I'm still going to go, so he should save his energy.
He scoffs, "So, you don't want to spend time with me?" He questions, "I'm home now and you're going to spend your Friday with some friend from school?" He mutters something under his breath and I roll my eyes in the back of my head with a groan.
"Yes, I promised him last week that I would go there with him. You're here for many more weeks and there will be time for you," I rinse off, "and he's not just some friend, for your information. He's nice and you need to stop looking at him with the only thought that he wants me, Tobias, we talked about this before and it's not like that. Let me have friends, and why don't you go out with the boys or something." I reach for my towel and get out of the shower before he could say anything.

Tobias was in a really pissy mood as I left and I couldn't even bear to talk to him because everything came from him in some form of a grunt or mutter and once I got dressed, I got the hell out of there. When I arrived at the Navy Pier, Matthew was leaning against the post that held a sign up.
"Hey, Matty!" I greet him with a warm smile. He looks up and pulls me into a tight hug, "I'm ready for some fun, I've been dreaming about this all night." I joke as we start to walk inside. I see kids running around with huge smiles on their faces, people lined up at the minimum amount of rides we have here, tourist taking pictures and other's relaxing on the dock as family or couples.
"Me too, I just hope your scary boyfriend doesn't choke me the next time I see him," he lets out a shaky laugh, "honestly, if he was mad before you left you should really get back―"
I roll my eyes with a small laugh, "Matthew, you don't need to worry about him. I want to do this because I know it's going to be fun. If he has his briefs in a bunch, then I don't care because we are going to indulge in ice cream and get on the carousel like idiots afterwards." He smiles, "And if he wants to hurt you then he has to get through me first."
Matthew and I walk around for a while with large churro's in our hands. They're from this new place here on the dock called, 'The Loop' and they have another shop by Tobias' apartment in The Loop. I would love to visit there with him, "These are more than churro's, these are heaven in a paper bag." Matthew comments as he takes a bite of his chocolate covered churro with walnuts, "Try." He holds it out to me and I take a bite from it, laughing when walnuts fall to the ground.
"That is good." I agree. After Matthew looked past his fear of Tobias, we got on the carousel once and decided to get some snacks which ended up being the fried dough that is practically melting in our mouth and a big cup of lemonade, "Try mines, it's fruity pebbles and a green tea sauce." Matthew takes a bite and moans.
I never thought that I would have a male friend other than the boys who I've known forever, Tobias wouldn't allow it. But, through some coaxing and whining, I made him look past that. But, that was only when I first told him about Matthew. Now, he's back peddling and not liking him again. Hell! He was pissed off because we were going to the damn Navy Pier, not a romantic restaurant where we are secluded, but the Navy Pier.
We walk around for a while, talking about summer plans. Then, we stop by the Billy Goat Tavern and get some lunch. We decide to get on the Ferris Wheel since we are about to go. But, as we are walking we run into someone who I would have never guessed would be back in Chicago, "Nita?" I question as she stands in front of us with her arms crossed.
"I take it you and Four broke up?" She grimaces as she looks Matthew up and down who looks confused. Nita looks different, older. A bag is swung over her shoulder and she has her sunglasses in her hand.
I shake my head at her, hatred that I thought I lost with her, rekindling in my body, "No, he's at home. This is my friend Matthew, Matthew this is Nita. . . the girl I told you about." I mutter.
His eyes light up with a playful gleam, "Nita! Nice to officially meet you. I am Tris' friend, if you didn't hear her!" he extends his hand.
She stares at his hand and turns back to me, "Well, goodbye." She walks away and I roll my eyes.
"Let's go!" Matthew pulls my hand to the Ferris Wheel.

"It's so beautiful up here." I whisper as I look at the skyline of Chicago. It's not New York, but it's beautiful up here, "Chicago's pretty big." I mutter and take my seat beside Matthew. We're in a closed-off glass booth on the Ferris wheel. They've really upgraded since I moved here.
"Yeah, it is." Matthew says beside me. We really wanted to end the fun times on the ole' Ferris Wheel. I feel kind of weird because I'm used to getting on here with Tobias and being wrapped in his arms, but, this is still nice because Matthew and I are just friends, "When you see Four, tell him thank you for letting me take you out. I'm sure he's thrashing out right now." Matthew mutters.
I playfully roll my eyes at him. Everyone is basically afraid of Tobias, everyone except me and sometimes people get the wrong idea about him, "No, thank you for taking me out. It feels great that I can get out of the apartment." I cross my legs as I feel us make another round.
I relax into the seat and we sit in a semi-uncomfortable silence. I can sense that Matthew is very tense and I don't know what's wrong with him, "Are you oka―" The world seems to come to a halt suddenly as I feel Matthew's lips on mine and I don't know how to react but to sit there in shock. He pulls away instantly and almost has a breathing attack.
"I'm so sorry." He takes a deep breath as I stare at him with nothing but disturbance, "I was just really freaking out because you looked so pretty in the setting sun and I couldn't help myself. I-I'm a dead man, Tris, I'm going to move out of Chicago and get the hell away from here. Damn, he's still going to find out where I went." He rubs his hands over his face, "Tris, don't hate me please―"
I shake my head as I come back from shock, "Matthew stop acting like you're going to jump out. It was an accident, but an accident that doesn't need to happen again." He nods his head without looking at me, "I'm fine if you're fine. Just don't let it reoccur." I say as the ride comes to another stop at the bottom this time and our doors open.
"Yeah, it won't happen ever again."
