Tobias and I didn't wake up the next day until 2 in the afternoon. We ate a late night snack at one of the 24-hour diners downtown, since most of the other restaurants were closed. I could tell that Tobias doesn't like Matthew, the way he held me close by my hips or how he encased me in the booth away from Matthew. But, Matthew shrugged it off and continued to be his witty self, which I admired.
"This one is nice." I point my finger to the two bed, and one bathroom apartment downtown. After taking a shower this morning and getting medicine and food into our systems, we got into my bed and looked at houses on Zillow. "489 for the mortgage and 100 for the registration. Even the rent is good."
"Yeah," Tobias large hand runs up and down my back, "It's nice, right in The Loop. 215 West Apartments. I've seen those before, their nice." Tobias nods his head in approval. It warms my heart knowing that Tobias will get a place down here, it gives me more hope knowing that he is coming home to me.
"That sounds perfect, and by April you should be ready to move in." I kiss Tobias on the cheek. School ends in April for him so that means he'll be home before I even know it. School ends in May for me, that means I can help him move in and even spend time there. Mom would be happy to know that I'm still in Chicago and less than a 10 miles away. She's partially the reason why I stayed in Chicago, I know that she'll be upset if I left because then she would have nothing left. Caleb isn't going to stay with us forever and I know I'm not, as long as she know's that I'm still in Chicago she's fine. If I weren't there with her, she would become lonely and depressed, the same way when my dad died.
"Would you come and visit me?" He asks while I click the heart button to save in my files. I look up at Tobias and widen my eyes at him.
"Of course I would Tobias, all the time."
"That's the stuff I want to here," Tobias laughs and presses a kiss to my cheek, "It would be a blessing to see your beautiful face everyday."

With Caleb gone at work and Mom working late tonight, that left Tobias and I home by ourselves and we decided to cook dinner for tonight which is spaghetti and meatballs. While Tobias chopped the onions, I cleaned the lettuce for the salad. I clear my throat, ruining the comfortable silence, "Did you have fun last night?"
"Yes, I did. I can't get over the eggnog though. It was delicious."
"It was good," I give him a smile, spinning the lettuce in the salad spinner to get the dirt off. I glance at Tobias before biting my lip. Should I bring up Matthew? Should I ask him if he likes him?, "Tobias, about Matthew. Do you like him?" I see his face twist, "You know what I mean."
"There's nothing wrong with him, he's fine. Why'd you ask?"
"Nothing, I just know how you get really. . . protective and I just wanted to see how you really feel. I don't want you masking all of your feelings just for me and then lash out when it's too much. I'd rather you tell me than conceal and not feel." Tobias gives me a wide grin and furrows his eyebrows.
"Did you just quote a Disney princess movie?"
"Low-key." We both burst into laughter and Tobias pulls me to his side, kissing me on the forehead. These are the moments that I love with Tobias, I love making dinner with him and acting like we don't have a care in the world.

"Dinner was great, you two did a good job." Mom presses a kiss to my cheek as I wash the dishes from dinner. Tobias is upstairs taking his night shower and Caleb is in his room. He's been quite distant for the past couple of weeks and he was especially quiet during dinner. I thought it might have been the stress from his exams or working more than usual.
"Thanks, I'm gonna go upstairs." I give her a hug and dash up the stairs, I knock on Caleb's door and clear my throat, "Caleb, it's me, Tris." He opens the door for me and I step inside. I am completely taken back, his bed is unmade and textbooks are open and scattered along his desk. Clothes are on the floor in his room and his eyes are puffy and red, "What's wrong? I saw you were acting different and I wanted to see what was up."
"Tris," He takes a deep breath and runs his hands roughly over his face, "I've done something bad. . . really bad."
"Caleb, it's okay to get a B--"
"--Tris, it's not that," he rolls his eyes before he takes a deep breath, "I-I got Susan pregnant."
