I bite back my smart remark as he stands to his feet and walks towards me. Where did my family go? They vanished like a vampire in the sunlight, all of a sudden they're inside with the door shut.
"Can we talk?" He questions and I can barely look him in the eyes.
I furrow my eyebrows and finally gain courage to see his hurt blue eyes that makes me feel bad, instead I mentally smack myself and get it together, "Talk? Tobias, we keep talking and talking. But, what is all this talking going to do?" I question, unable to still wrap my mind around what happened at us going out to eat, "We were supposed to have a good time and eat food, and have a nice summer together. But we can't have all that? That's all I want."
"I know, baby, and I'm sorry I'm not giving you that," He says in a sad tone as his shoulders slump in defeat. Tobias is one to never give up and always make sure that he's confident and always be the superior one. This is unlikely to see him suddenly so down and sad, "It's really hard to not get jealous when I see people around you and I know there isn't much to say but. . . I love you and I understand if you want some time, I just needed to see your face."
It takes every fiber in my bone not to just kiss him and tell him accidents happen, but I can't do that, he hurt my friends and I need to let him know that, that's not okay. I shake my head, "Well, we talked." I mutter, I give him one last glance before going inside the house and straight up to my room, wallowing like I was previously. I knew leaving the house was a bad idea.

"Your boyfriend sure does have a hell of a punch, he boxes?" Mickey asks as my feet are tucked under my butt and I sit on their couch. I felt like I had to visit them and make sure that I at least showed my face. When I arrived they were totally shocked, thinking that I would give up and side with him. I found that quite offending but I still went inside and took their offer on some juice and popcorn.
"No." I shake my head at her, picking a thread off of my shorts. Honestly, I felt like I needed some fresh air and visiting my friends was a nice idea, Christina offered for us to go to North Avenue Beach with the girls to just clear our mind, which reminds me, "All of us girls are going to the beach around 4, do you want to come with? We might go to the club and what not."
Lynn shrugs her shoulders, looking at Mickey, "I don't mind getting drunk." Lynn turns and looks at me, "But, I'm not getting in a damn bikini." She rolls her eyes and walks to the bedroom.
"You're driving." Mickey points out before she follows her girlfriend in the back. I shake my head at the two and lean back on their couch.
It doesn't take long for the two to get dressed and conceal their clothes under their cover-up. I meet the girls at the slightly packed beach and we find a nice seat that's close to the water, but a nice distance away from it, "Good to see you could make it." Shauna noogies her sister on her short hair which makes her flinch back from her and punch her in her arm and before I know it sand is flying everywhere as they start wrestling.
"Stop fighting! I just want to get in the water." Marlene whimpers and crosses her arms. I agree and then take off my t-shirt and shorts, leaving me in my black bandeau top and my high cut leg black bottoms. When the girls decided to go to the beach today I couldn't agree more than to say that we need to get out of he house and hang out, it was their pitiful looks that pissed me off.
The cool water reaches my toes as I squeeze the sand in between them. I hear Christina squeak in displeasure as I continue walking further into the ocean. I hear the jaws theme song start to play and Mickey surprises me by jumping from behind me and laughing, "Your tattoos are cool, have you ever thought about getting more?" I look down at the ink on my skin and then the raven on my collard bone for him and the 'T' with an infinity ring going through it on my wrist.
I shake my head with a chuckle, "Not for a while, but I don't think so." She shrugs her shoulders and leans on her back to begin floating in the cool water that feels great on this summer day, "Your jaw feeling okay?"
"Tris," She groans while splashing me with water, "I'm totally fine, stop asking me. It seems like it happened ages ago, all you need to worry about is how much fun we are going to have!" Just as those words slip from her mouth the girls reach us and Shauna is the first to toss water at Marlene and before I know it we are in a full fledged water fight.
My limbs are sluggish and tired as I pull myself out of the heavy water and towards the towels that are warm from sitting under the beating summer sun, I sit down and stretch my legs out as Christina reaches into one of her many bags she brought out and starts to hand out plates, "Since I was the only one who actually thought to bring food." She pulls one of the mini coolers over towards her and starts to pull out roasted turkey sandwiches with sides of mini pre-made fruit cups and back in her bag for some chips.
"We can always count on you!" Lynn says sarcastically as she gulps down a sip of water from her bottle. I chuckle at her while Christina mock laughs at her. We eat together and talk about life, talk about college, talk about working, and our relationships. The only thing we didn't talk about is Tobias, my relationship. And I couldn't feel more grateful.

I don't even have an excuse this time. But, I'm on break so I will hopefully be able to dish out a few chapters. I also apologize for the crappy, short, and unedited chapter because it is 1am and I don't even know who I am right now.
