Betrayed

"Hi Kelly" I say on the phone.

"Hey girl." Kelly says. She's a morning person.

"I need to rant right now" I say.

"I've got two shoulders. One is available." She says.

"I don't like Catarina and Mitch together, it's like she's stealing my brother."

"Sorry girl I have to go but I totally get you." She hangs up.

I feel truly alone.

Two hours later

I'm watching American Dad when I get texts from Mitch.

'So you hate my relationship with Cat?'

'Cat told me that Kelly told her that you told Kelly you didn't like our relationship.'

'Your just bitter and jealous'

Bitter?

I don't answer back. I sigh.

I need a friend. And one that won't betray me like that. Tyler.

I texted Tyler.

'Hey Tyler.' I text

'Does Hayley want auntie Janet to tell her a story?

'Not today Janet'

'Ok spill gurl' he texts. How does he know I'm upset especially over text.

'How do you know?' I text him.

'Nobody in their right mind would turn down all this' he texts I laugh.

'Well don't tell Mitch but he has a new girlfriend who I hate.'

'Well if you hate them they have to be a bad person. Hang in there just three more days then auntie Janet will be there.' He texts.

We talk for hours until I hear Mitch come in

"Hayley!" He calls. I don't answer back. "Hayley! Where are you." He comes into the living room where I am. "I'm sorry about redo smoothie Tuesday. How about a re redo smoothie Tuesday.

I get up and leave the room.
