The next morning you woke up before Nate, his arm wrapped around you. You sat there for a few minutes, trying to rephrase what happened last night in your head so you knew exactly what you were going to tell him. Nate eventually opened his eyes. He immediately saw his arm around you and pulled it away. With a hand on his head he sat up.

"Ow my head! What happened last night?"

Nate said, rubbing the top of his head.

"Y-you..."

"Don't tell him what happened."

You repeated in your mind. Maybe it was better if he didn't remember what he did.

"...You were really drunk. Brett drove you home. I took care of you from there."

Nate looked up at you, totally forgetful of anything that happened last night.

"Really? Geez I'm sorry Y/n, I must've been really annoying last night."

You awkwardly looked around the room, still pondering the thought of telling him.

"No, you were fine. Are you feeling okay?"

Nate stretched and walked over to the kitchen.

"Yeah, my head hurts a little though."

He began to make a cup of coffee, and you remained seated.

"Maybe I should tell him..."

Finally, you sat up and walked over to where Nate was standing.

"Nate?"

He turned around.

"Yeah Y/n?"

You looked around the room again, afraid to look directly at him.

"There's one more thing about last night that you should know..."

Nate looked surprisingly more nervous than you. After taking a deep breath, you continued to talk.

"So... last night... you said some things..."

Nate's face was already red, like he knew what you were about to say. Quickly, he brought his attention back to the coffee maker, avoiding eye contact.

"Oh god, what did I say?"

He said, still looking away from you. He grabbed the coffee mug and walked back over to the couch.

"You said that you liked me a lot. Like more than friends."

Nate immediately stopped dead in his tracks.

"Oh god."

He muttered under his breath, probably hoping that you wouldn't hear.

"...and then you kissed me."

Nate turned around to face you. He looked like he was ready to run away and never come back. You'd never seen him look so embarrassed.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry Y/n! I didn't mean to-."

You pulled Nate closer to you before he could finish his sentence. You kissed again, this time it felt way less awkward. This time was much different... in a good way. Finally, Nate backed away from you. He wasn't smiling, his expression looked horrified. Worried, you backed away too.

"Do you really like me that way?"

You said, your face now even more red then Nate's. Suddenly, his blank stare turned into a smile.

"Yes."
