You walked through the doors of the music store, your guitar case in one hand. You sat down and placed the guitar in front of you, still in its case. With one arm wrapped around it, you took your phone out of your pocket, smiling as you looked at your lock screen. It was a picture of Nate holding his famous mint green guitar. Nate was the one who inspired you to start playing guitar, and you were finally making your dream a reality. Today was your first guitar lesson, and you were more than ready. It was so exciting sitting in the small room waiting for your turn. You swiped through Instagram for a few minutes, looking at various pictures of Nate that your friends had posted.

"Y/n L/n."

You heard a voice call, which sounded very familiar. It sounded so similar to Nate's, but you knew that the chance of it being him was very small, just about impossible really. You turned off your phone and looked up.

"That's m-"

You stopped mid-sentence, your eyes wide. Standing in front of you was Nate.. THE Nate, the one who inspired you every day, the most perfect person in the world in your eyes, your hero, standing right in front of you.

"Y-you're N-NateWantsToB-Battle."

You stuttered, barely able to speak.

"Oh you know me, that's great! You're a fan?"

Nate said, smiling. You stood up with your guitar.

"Yes! I love your music so much! You actually inspired me to play the guitar!"

You replied, holding the guitar case in front of you.

"Really? I'm honored that I inspired you. Come on in, we can start your first lesson."

Nate said, walking into one of the lesson rooms. You happily followed, still in disbelief. Nate sat down in one chair and you sat down in the one in front of him. Shakily, you took the guitar out of its case, trying to calm down.

"So, what would you like to learn?"

Nate said, taking a guitar out of its stand. You stared at the guitar for a few seconds as you tried to hold in your excitement.

"That's your green guitar! It's in so many videos!...C-can I touch it?"

You said. Nate laughed and looked down at his guitar.

"No...you can play it."

He said with a smile, replacing your guitar with his. You smile became even wider, even though you thought that that wasn't possible.

"Okay so.. any songs you want to learn first?"

Nate said, tuning your guitar.

"One of yours would be great."

You replied, plucking the strings of Nate's guitar.

Nate browsed through his phone for a few seconds.

"Hmm... let's see....."

He said, flipping through some of his songs on YouTube.

"How about this."

He said, hitting play and setting his phone aside. As soon as the song started playing, you knew what it was.

"Mangled acoustic? Sure!"

You said happily.

"Great! I figured an acoustic song would be best to begin with."

Nate said, hitting pause on the video. He lifted up the guitar and began to play with ease. He switched from the melody to the chorus within seconds and you watched in amazement.

"You're so good!"

You said as soon as he stopped. Nate grinned.

"Well, it is my song."

He said with a laugh.

"Okay so, this finger goes here, and this one there."

Nate said, placing his fingers on various strings. You tried to copy what he did, but it took a few seconds. One of your fingers already began to ache slightly from being held out so far. You let out a sigh and strummed all of the strings together. It sounded nothing like Mangled but you were happy to get at least some noise out.

"You'll get the hang of it."

Nate said, which made you more confident in yourself.

"Here."

He said, placing the guitar on a stand as he leaned over to help you.

"Put your first finger there."

He said, pointing to a string and fret on the guitar. You moved your finger and strummed it. It already sounded better.

"Okay good. Now that one there,"

He said, moving one of your fingers to the string below it. You already knew that your face was red from Nate being so close to you, but you tried to focus on the guitar. Nate sat back down in his chair and grabbed the guitar, arranging his fingers. He strummed it, which made one of the first chords in Mangled.

"Okay try it."

He said. You looked down at your fingers and made sure they had all stayed put. With a pick in your hand, you strummed the strings of the guitar, making a very satisfying noise that sounded almost exactly like Nate's.

"I did it!"

You said in disbelief.

"Yep, I knew you could!"

Nate said with a smile, then quickly checking his phone.

"Oh no, it looks like your lesson is done for this week. Time really does fly."

You frowned and handed Nate his mint green guitar. Nate took it and paused, then holding out the guitar in front of you.

"Take it."

You looked at him amazed.

"R-really?"

You said in disbelief. Nate nodded and you carefully took the guitar in your hands. Nate gave you its case and you gave him yours.

"Anything for a fan. I think you'll be a great guitar player Y/n, you just need to practice. I think my guitar is enough inspiration for that...Just bring it back next week, I have videos to shoot."

Nate said with a  laugh. He smiled at you ad you held onto the guitar case, also smiling.

"Thank you so much Nate! See you next week!"

You said as you happily walked out the door.

"Bye Y/n!"

You heard Nate call from the lesson room. You walked outside, still holding onto the guitar case. You already couldn't wait for your next lesson.
