You sat up from the couch and stretched, placing your phone on the table in front of you. The sound of Nate's footsteps came from another room, getting closer each second. He walked into the room that you were in and grinned.

"What?"

You said, starting to smile yourself as you stood up.

"I finished putting up the Christmas decorations."

Nate replied, walking closer to you. You could clearly tell that he was in the Christmas spirit. He was wearing a Santa hat on his head, a green christmas sweater, and had been decorating since the start of December. You loved the fact that Nate shared the same love for the holidays as you did.

"Okay cool, I'll go check it out."

You said, quickly stopping to fix one of the ornaments that had fallen off of the tree in front of you. Nate ran ahead of you and disappeared down the hall at a fast pace. Confused, you began to follow. You turned around the corner and into the hallway. Nate was standing a few feet away, looking at you with the same smirk on his face. You stopped walking and looked back at him.

"Why did you stop?"

You said. Nate quickly looked up and then back at you. You did the same, but paused as your eyes reached the ceiling. There was mistletoe hanging from the ceiling, Nate standing directly underneath it. Your face grew slightly hot as you looked back at him. He continued to smile, holding both arms out in front of him towards you.

"Come on."

He said smiling. You laughed and walked towards him. Nate wrapped his arms around you and you both faced each other. Nate leaned in towards you and you did the same, your lips touching seconds after. You both stayed like that for a few seconds and then pulled away, Nate's arms still around you. Nate looked you in the eyes and smiled. You smiled back.

"Merry Christmas. That counts as an early present."

You said, laughing as you pulled Nate's Santa hat over his eyes.

"I should hang more of those up all around the house.

He said as he fixed his hat. You both laughed once again and walked back into the other room, Nate's arm still wrapped around your shoulders.
