You tried to open your eyes, which felt like torture. They felt so heavy, and you felt so weak. Finally, you were able to open them all the way. The room that you were in was very dark, only a little bit of dim lighting. As you tried to get up, you realized that you were trapped in something. You could only see through two large holes in front of you. The sound of small clicks were all around you, adding on to the tension. You looked to your right and realized where you were.
"S-spring locks."
You muttered to yourself, trying to remain still. You were trapped in a suit, the spring locks slowly loosing strength. They could snap down on you at any moment, killing you in only a few short seconds. You quickly lifted up a weak arm, twisting the locks back in place on your right side. You then groaned, turing around to fasten the locks on the left side. After all of the spring locks were wound up, you tried to sit up. Carefully, you pushed up with your hands, sitting in a better position. You then pushed the suit open, which surprisingly worked. The spring locks became more visible as more light was allowed into the suit. You were ready to get up and run back home, but then realized that you had no idea where you had ended up. Your breathing began to quicken as you frantically tried to find out what to do.
"Nate said he would come back for me... just wait."
You muttered to yourself, reaching out to wind up the spring locks that were quickly unwinding. As you reached for one of the spring locks, you heard a small rustling sound. Your eyes widened as you saw the silhouette of a small figure crawling up the suit. Without thinking, you jumped back with enough force to shake it off of the suit. Right after, you remembered that movement made the locks unwind even faster. Panicking, you rushed to fix them. A small red light went on under a few of them, you drew your attention to those first. Another figure crawled up the suit, you slapped it off with your hand. You began to look around to find out where they were coming from, only then noticing a withered and broken animatronic sitting in front of you. It was Ballora. Her face was broken open, a small red light inside. She had been scooped. The feeling of being watched came from her, but you tried to get it out of your mind. One by one, minirinas began to crawl up the suit, you continued to shake them off, then going back to wind up the locks. It was a stressful process, but your survival was all that you could think of at the moment. A minirina crawled up the left side of the suit. Quickly, you batted it with your arm. It latched onto your wrist making you jump, trying to shake it off. It continued to hold on for a few more seconds, you then pried it off of your arm and launched it across the room. A small thud and shatter could be heard in the distance.
"Whoops."
You muttered, continuing to wind up the locks.
"Y/n!"
The faint sound of someone yelling your name was barely audible from where you were. You shook your head and continued to wind up a springlock. Frantic footsteps could be heard all outside of the room.
"Y/n!"
You heard the voice, this time closer. Immediately you knew who it was. Your eyes brightened and you began to shake.
"N-Nate!"
You attempted to yell, but all that came out was a hoarse voice followed by a cough.
"Y/n?"
You heard once again. He had heard you.
"I-in here Nate!"
You yelled. The door creaked open and a beam of light filled the room. You could hear some minirinas scamper away quickly as if they were mice.
"Y/n!"
You heard Nate say. You tried to stand up, but you were still to weak. Nate rushed over to you. Quickly, he scooped you up into his arms, holding you close. You attempted to weakly wrap your arms around him, resting them on his back.
"I-I'm so sorry,"
You heard Nate mutter.
"...I shouldn't have left you."
"Nate it's fine... I just wanna go home now.
Nate held onto you tighter.
"I know.. let's go home."
He muttered, walking out of the room. Just before you walked out the door to the scooping room. Loud cracks and snaps filled the room. You jumped and buried your head into Nate's chest. Nate quickly ran out of the room.
"Looks like the springlocks couldn't take it anymore."
He said, slightly shaking. With you still in his arms, he headed to the elevator. You finally felt safe.
