(Yep, I'm back :p)

You sat in a circle with some of your friends. Sleepovers always led to partying and staying up late. However, this time it was different. Your friend Nate was finally allowed to sleep at your house. Even though you were happy, you were uneasy having Nate, your crush, and your two best friends in the same room for a whole night.

"Okay, it's only 11:30 guys, let's play truth or dare!"

One of your friends said, glancing around at everyone for approval. Everyone nodded except for you; you were fully aware that playing this would unravel a lot of feelings that you had for Nate, who was now sitting across from you.

"What's wrong Y/n?"

Your other friend said. You leaned closer to her and took a deep breath.

"You know that I like Nate...I don't want to look like an idiot."

You whispered. She glanced at you, a new light in her eyes. Your eyes widened and your face started to turn pink.

"Don't you dare F/n!"

You said as you sat back, holding your breath for a few seconds.

"Okay, it's settled, we're playing. Nate... truth or dare."

You rolled your eyes and remained silent. Nate glanced up at your friend who had asked the question.  You tried to avoid eye contact from everyone from here on forward, thinking that that could help slightly.

"Truth."

He said with a smile.

"Out of everyone in this room... who do you think is the coolest?"

Nate glanced around the room, you still avoided eye contact but was relieved that they started out with a normal question.

"You're all cool though... I don't want to hurt any feelings..."

"Come on Nate, you have to say somebody!"

One of your friends teased. You just remained silent.

"Okay... I guess Y/n.. because I can relate to her the most with the video games that she plays and some other things."

Suddenly, things felt less awkward and you looked up. You tried not to let out a noticeable grin. Nate put a hand up and you did the same, giving him a hi-five. He laughed and you let out a small chuckle, blushing from the brief contact with him.

"Geez you're already a mess Y/n, control yourself..."

You murmured to yourself. Your friend then snapped you back into reality.

"Y/n?? Were you listening? Truth or dare?"

You jumped out of your daydreaming.

"Oh yeah, sorry, truth."

As soon as you said it, you could tell that your friend had something interesting to ask due to the evil in her eyes.

"Do you like anyone?"

You blushed once again.

"I know you do, come on Y/n!"

Your other friend said, giving you a thumbs-up and nodding her head. You rolled your eyes and sighed.

"Yes... I don't have to say who, that wasn't part of the question!"

You said with a smirk. Your friend frowned and you saw Nate look at you as if he was hiding something.

"Ugh, fine. We'll get it out of you somehow."

You all continued to go around asking each other to do stupid tasks for a few more minutes. Once again, it was Nate's turn. As soon as he chose dare, your friends stepped aside and began to whisper to each other. Both you and Nate tried to listen in but you couldn't understand their muttering. After a few seconds, they sat back down, both with smiles on their faces.

"Nate... you need to do Seven Minutes In Heaven... with Y/n."

You put your hands over your head. Both of your friends laughed.

"Don't worry, you don't have to do anything in there... unless if you want to. But by all means, sit there in silence if you want."

Your other friend said with a laugh. You sighed and stood up, following Nate to the closet nearby. He opened the door and sat inside. You followed, trying to find a place to sit in the crowded closet. A few moments of awkward silence passed before your friend hit the door.

"Are you guys gonna do something or what?"

You heard her yell, which was muffled by the closed door.

"Well, there isn't any room in here. So even if we wanted to do something we couldn't."

You said, slightly relieved that Nate looked as awkward as you. Suddenly, the door opened, letting light seep in. Your friend pulled the vacuum and a box out of the closet and grinned.

"There's enough room now..."

She said right before the door closed again followed by giggling on the other side. The sound of footsteps became faint and you could no longer hear their muffled voices.

"They must've left us alone..."

You said with a sigh, closing your eyes. Your face grew hot as you felt Nate put a hand on your shoulder.

"Y/n... can we talk for a minute since we're in here....alone?"

You just nodded, too scared to say anything.

"I'm sorry that we're in this mess, stuck in a random closet..."

He said with a laugh. You let out a smile and chuckled too.

"...and I just want to say that you're pretty cool and...um..."

You glanced up at Nate, trying your best to remain calm.

" I-I think you're more than cool.. I like you a lot Y/n... and I think now is a good time to say that I love you... I have for a long time."

Your face became hot once again and you became slightly dizzy. Nate looked you in the eyes. In the darkness of the closet, you could still make out his features. His smile was present and his eyes were wide as he leaned closer to you. You smiled as well and brought your lips to his. The kiss lasted for a few seconds until a bright glow of light came through the doors once again. You opened your eyes and Nate pulled away from you. Your friends stood in front of you, both with the same devious grin. You looked up at them and then back at Nate, who was sitting next to you, blushing slightly as well.

"Uhhh...."

You began to say. Before you could come up with an explanation, your friend cut you off.

"I knew you two loved each other! I knew it!!!"

Both you and Nate remained speechless. Only then did you notice that Nate's arm had been wrapped around you, which led to you blushing even more. He noticed that it was adding to the situation and pulled his arm away.

"Hah... I guess we do."

He then said with a grin.

"Okay, we did it then. Come on you two, get out of that closet."

One of your friends said, hi-fiving your other friend briefly. Nate stood up and grabbed your hand, helping you up off the ground. However, he didn't let go afterwards. You both held hands back to the other room, and you honestly didn't mind. Your feelings for Nate were finally out, and it was all because of a stupid game of truth or dare. You smiled at the thought and sat back down in the circle. All fears had left and you continued on the fun night of partying with everyone, including Nate.
