"Okay, let's do this."
Nate said, crawling through the small door into Ballora's gallery. You sighed and followed after him. You looked around the pitch black room as Nate pulled you closer to him. He pulled a flashlight out of his pocket and turned it on. It created a circle of light around both of you, so you could see about two feet ahead of you, but the rest of the room remained dark.
"I'm making a run for it."
You said, running a few feet across the room, your feet making a tapping sound each time it hit the white tile floor. You could hear Nate a running behind you, only about a foot away. Suddenly, Nate stopped you, grabbing your hand and pulling you back. Just as he did that, music became louder and louder, coming towards where you both were standing.
"Don't. Move."
Nate whispered, still grabbing onto your hand. You held your breath, trying not to make even the slightest movement. The music became louder and louder behind you. You wanted to turn around and look so badly to look at how close Ballora was, but you knew that that would be certain death. Instead, you remained completely still, listening as the music went from left to right, then fading once again. Once the music was almost gone, you continued to run to the other side of the room, but at a much slower pace. The door on the other side of the room was slightly visible, and you walked faster towards it.
"Y/n!"
Nate said in a loud whisper. You watched as Nate wrapped an arm around you, pulling you back.
"She's right there."
He whispered in your ear. The music became louder again, this time in front of you. Nate held onto your shoulders with both hands, trying to keep you still. That was when you noticed how much you were shaking. You tried to stop, but it was no use, fear had begun to get the best of both of you. Ballora's music became louder, and you saw movement in the darkness. Your eyes widened as you watched Ballora twirl from right to left, only a few feet away. She was only partially in the flashlight light, but you could still see how tall she was, and how capable she could be of killing both you and Nate. She eventually twirled away, the music fading once again. You let out a sigh of relief and wiped a tear off of your face. Before you could take another step, you felt Nate lift you up off the ground. He then proceeded to run across the room. You heard his loud and fast footsteps hit the tile floor, and you watched as the door came closer into view. The music became louder and louder, making you tense up.
"Nate stop!"
You yelled to him, but he just continued to run towards the door, you still in his arms. The sound of loud music became closer and closer. You peered behind Nate's shoulder. In the light, you could see Ballora, twirling around, hot on your trail. You closed your eyes, burring your face in Nate's shirt.
"We're gonna die, we're gonna die!"
You repeated to yourself. Suddenly, you heard the door creak open, and then quickly slam shut. The sound of Nate breathing heavily was the only thing that you could hear. He didn't put you down right away, but you didn't mind. You stayed there for about a minute, tightly holding onto Nate's shirt with both hands. Nate's arms were tightly wrapped around you. Nate placed you down on the ground and you looked around the room. The flashlight began to flicker, and Nate turned it off, leaving you both in an almost pitch black room. The only light source was the glowing red light of a control panel in front of you.
"I think the flashlights broken."
Nate said, hitting it a few times with his hand, the flashlight flickering on and off each time he did it. You grabbed the flashlight and turned it on. Even though it only flickered, it still provided some light, so you kept it on. Nate walked over to the control panel and you started to look around on the left side of the room. There was nothing but wires, all exposed, and some fuse boxed. You panned the flashlight to the far right of the room. After a few flickers of the light, you jumped, realizing that there was something there. You took a small step forward, looking at the small clearing with no wires. Instead, there was a giant animatronic bear, elevated on a stand to appear taller.
"Nate."
You whispered, Nate turned his head around to face you.
"Yeah Y/n?"
You motioned towards where Funtime Freddy was standing, Shining the light at him. Nate's eyes widened.
"Oh boy...."
He muttered to himself.
"I'll keep an eye out... keep rebooting the system."
You said to Nate, keeping your eye on Funtime Freddy. Nate nodded and looked back at the control panel. He pressed some buttons, rebooting all of the systems, and you flashed the light at Freddy. He remained still until Nate began to press certain buttons. Each time you flashed your light, you saw him inch closer and closer. You heard a faint voice coming from where Freddy was standing. A chill went up your spine. Quickly, you pressed a switch that you were standing next to, sending Freddy back to his stand.
"Almost done?"
You said, flicking the switch a few times.
"Halfway done Y/n."
Nate replied, concentrating on the screen. More noises came from Freddy. You flashed the light again in his direction, jumping back when you realized how close he was. You were basically face to face with Freddy, only about a foot away from his face. Quickly, you reached for the switch, your hand slipped, missing it. You began to panic, Freddy inching closer and closer each time you shined the light at him. You closed your eyes, preparing for the worst.
"Go back to your stage, everything is okay."
You heard a voice say, you looked behind you. Nate was standing there, his hand on the switch. You turned to where Freddy was hovering over you. However, he was gone, not on his stand or in front of you. You let out a sigh of relief.
"Thanks."
You muttered.
"No problem... let's get out of here."
Nate replied. He pulled open the door and you both walked out, the door clicking shut behind you. You listened for Ballora's music but it was nowhere to be found. Carefully, you followed Nate through Ballora's gallery. You both happily walked to the elevator, and you closed your eyes, trying to get some relaxation in before the next night.
